Should be a fun game this. Best home record in the league against the form team.

We were shite at Swindon yesterday but we’re missing some key players in Ameobi, Duffy and even Forte who could be back for this. We’re generally a different proposition at home anyway, despite two straight ML draws (the second one feeling like a win tbh).

With Luton playing Lincoln it’s a great chance for us to either gain some ground on top or put more of a gap to third.

Must keep our feet on the ground despite our superb form (against top teams too of late).

We have been as good away as we have at home and so we won’t fear this but may need to rotate a bit.

Notts were dreadful at our place but fair play they’ve done something right to be where they are and don’t expect us to face them as bad tomorrow... if they did we’d take them apart now!

Think we will be good enough for a draw. Pope scoring. Looks like Whitfield can play tomorrow which is massive, easily one of the best attacking players in the division... what happens with AFCB in terms of extending his loan will be crucial to our hopes of a miraculous play off bid.

Be interesting to see what kit we wear tomorrow... an all white home kit and all black Away suggest we can’t wear either and the club haven’t suggested we have a third kit (other than to suggest it’s all been pre arranged for the Notts and Grimsby games).

Chuck the retro ones on!

We weren’t dreadful at your place, we just weren’t much fun. We’ve won loads of games in a similar way this season.

Would take a point and I think that’s what we will get.

1-1.

Not sure if this is a joke or not but there is a mental health thread on here somewhere with some good people in there.

Chin up mate, easier said than done but get yourself the Vale tomorrow and at least get that 90 minute escape from life’s problems.

Sadly I don't think this is a wind up. You had issues in league one forum with bullying I recall Andy. If you need help then ask for it ASAP, mental health affects millionaires or the poorest amongst us.

Andy - you're not alone. Depression has been fucking up my life since I were a teen but I sure as hell am not going to give up just cos 'it' wants me to. I know all about making a tremendous effort just to interact with people when you just want to be left alone. Especially at this time of the year when everybody expects you to join family and friends for dinner and whatnot.

Please do as valefan 16 suggests and go to the match. We all need to escape sometimes and watching the footy is just perfect for this.

just to echo the above... we all have demons to deal with Andy... myself definitely included. It's ok to ask for help it really is, and help will do just that.. help.

Think this is the wrong sort of place to be asking for help? Surely you have a few pals you can call? Or a quick Google search will give you an actual helpline in which they're paid and qualified to deal with that sort of thing. We all wish you well anyway buddy.

As for today's game, I just hope it's not a case of after the Lord Mayor's show. County are obviously very good at home, but we go there in form, with confidence and I have belief we'll at least compete. But we do have a few older players in our team and so a couple of changes may have to be made to what's been a winning side. I also have no idea if Whitfield is able to play today, and if he's not he will be a huge loss and makes a substantial dent on our chances. I expect to see Anderson, Worrall and perhaps even Denton starting today.

I'll sit on the fence and go for a 1-1 draw.

Apart from maybe Berry or Hylton at Luton one of the stand out players week in week out seems to be Grant. Think on loan from Forest ?
County have been top 3 from the word go.
Very difficult game but still fancy us for a point. Reckon be decent following maybe 1000 , Aspin has given us hope again ,I was convinced we were heading to non league under the previous imbecile.
1-1 Grant and Harness

I wasn't suggesting he asks for help here. Anyway, i'd take a draw all day long for this match.... the Vale way is to disappoint after the Lord Mayor's Show, so i expect a beating. We live in hope.

Have to admit I feel this may be a bridge too far today. Notts will have a point to prove after losing at Swindon and they are exceptional at home anyway. If we could pinch a draw then that would be great but even so this has been a great set of results for us lately.

Im going for a 1-1 today. If we lose then its a third tough test in a short space of time, but if we are on top of our game we should fear no-one.

Looks like Whitfield is starting then. Only change is Anderson for Gunning.

Yeah apparently doesn’t run out till 4th so huge boost he is in irresistible form at the moment and could be a game changer today.

Otherwise Anderson is better than Gav so positive, would of stated Worrall maybe but good option to bring in.

Notts sounding very much on the front foot at the moment. Clearly up for this one. Will be doing well if we can make it to half time still scoreless.

Good game this but we should really be in front, Lainton has made a couple of great saves and every single one of Dan Jones’ set pieces is causing chaos.

Vale look decent when they do get forward but Pope obviously doesn’t offer much on the break so they’re getting pinned in a bit. He was very lucky not to get at least a yellow (or concede a foul!) for leading with his arm straight through the back of Yates’ head en all.

Dire game loads of long ball and stop
Start with this referee. Boot made a couple of decent stops but otherwise we look jaded. Can see us changing it.

Lot of County players going down easily which is frustrating, thankfully the key decision the referee got right with the dive.

Its Boot in goals not Lainton. Expect a change at HT or shortly after to shore up midfield.

Yeah two decent saves. Otherwise it’s been a game where nothing has been created bar set pieces. Think older players are struggling I’d get Worrall and maybe Barnett on.

I'd be tempted to look at maybe getting Worrall on soon after half-time. Get a little extra quality on the ball in midfield.

Got to be happy to be level at the break though.

We’ve been under pressure but only from set pieces so stop conceded them would be a start. Anderson nearly scored a stunner and we should of done better with a free header right on HT but this is where Aspo has generally done well changing things.
