Think there's a strike on Merseyrail and problems with the Chester line as well. Complete nightmare.

Yeah I know a couple who are getting the train back from Chester on Thursday morning and they've no option but to either get a bus or cab from Liverpool.

We'll have the usual idiots in attendance*, which should be around the 150 mark.

*I'm definitely not one of them, honest.

Thanks! Yes its been a complete nightmare of a trip for us. I'm still going up tomorrow afternoon anyway so I can get some value out of my hotel after BT Switched the game a week after I booked it. Gonna hopefully get to go to FCUM vs Stockport.

To make matters worse I am going to the England game on Thursday when I get back, with a tube strike on that day as well. So I am a bit demotivated at the moment. What with us being incredibily shit as well and likely to lose on the TV for the 3rd game in a row. But I should be used to that by now

Even if this weren't on telly I wouldn't be going.

We're dire and the last time I made the long trip to Prenton Park your keeper scored from a free kick well inside your half. No thanks.

Nailed on 2-0 home win.

The best bit about that goal was that the free kick was indirect. Another Glenda (Morris, not Slagg) special.

I’ve just remembered that we often lose 3-zip at Prenton Park. Something like 7 of our 12 visits have ended up like that. Happy days.

Ahh, good old Gavin Ward. Was that really 10 years ago? Here's that goal:

If your keeper doesn't touch it, it doesn't count, which as you say makes it more bizarre as surely he knew that? If you want a summary of our season so far, the Chris Shuker miss from that clip sums us up - nice build up and then waste the ball in the final third.

Also, I REALLY miss Chris Greenacre...:(

I allways think of that Gavin Ward goal when Orient are mentioned, one of the most bizarre goals i've ever seen. Wonder what that Orient keeper does for a living now, doubt he went on to make a career for himself between the sticks.

To be fair, I remember it being incredibly windy that day. You can see the wind catch the ball and it must have put some spin on it so that when it hits the grass, it bounces much higher than anyone could have anticipated.
As you say, first thought that comes to mind with Orient. Could be fun tonight too, given the rain that is predicted after 5pm(ish).

Glenn Morris still plays and is Crawleys number one as well as a goalkeeping coach!

Christ, that clip is like watching in fast forward compared to the pace we play at these days! I forgot how entertaining Shuker was on the ball as well.

I used to enjoy the Tranmere highlights back in the day as Shuker would always be involved, quality player, reminded me of our own legend Dean Cox.

Genuinely not looking forward to the game tonight, we are completely devoid of ideas.

Glad to hear. Think he was making his debut at Tranmere all those years ago and he had an absolute mare of a game, sometimes rookie keepers never re-appear after such performances.

Gotta ask is orients mascot the worst in the division? It looks like a reject frim rainbow
What are you talking about? It's a bright red wyvern (that's a legendary creature with a dragon's head, reptilian body, two chunky legs and a pointed tail) with a big gut called Theo (very witty pun: The-O, just in case you missed it).

I mean, yours is just some brown dog.

How many other dogs do you know that can tie their own laces and walk on their hind legs for hours at a time? Also, he used to look like this...

...Not looking too bad now in comparison.
