Crap, had no idea it was on live at a time that I'd actually be able to watch it... but fucking hell, some amazing announcements!

The Last of Us Part 2! - Has its own thread already, complete with trailer:

http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/last-of-us-2-announced.13454/

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - A spin off announced this soon after UC4! Starring Chloe this time... New TLOU and Uncharted announced on the same day? Wow. But there's MORE Naughty Dog goodness with...

The remastered Crash Bandicoot Trilogy getting its first trailer! Fucking loved those games and I play them still once in a while. Can't wait.

Ni No Kuni 2 trailer. Still disappointingly short one Mr Drippy, but still, I can't help but be excited.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

And remakes of Wipeout and... Parrapa the Rappa

The uncharted one is a standalone expansion with Chloe and Nadine.

Also very happy with the Yakuza games getting releases.

Danganronpa getting shown up on a stage was nice too.

There was another little fairy thing there I noticed also....

the combat had no creatures/familiars, it was just the 3 main characters fighting the monsters - surely they're not getting rid of those?!

most pointless remake ever based on those clips. Nice lighting effects but they've made the dark levels too bright and have removed a lot of the detail in the scenery. No new stuff in there either.

The lack of detail you mentioned makes the levels look so sanitised and plain, nothing like the original(s). How much of that is down to those clips coming from an early version of the game, I don't know.

actually mildly excited for the Wipeout remaster. i loved that game back on the PS1 and its very surprising that they havent touched that franchise in such a long time

plus there were also some banging songs on the soundtrack

was a pretty perfect conference imo and it blows my mind Xbox don't do something similar to bridge the gap between E3s.

Open and close with Naughty Dog, you own the best games developer in the world - milk it. Lost Legacy will be a great 2 hour standalone game I am sure, TLOU2 probably won't be out until Q2 2019 but get people hyped I suppose.

Crash remaster looked a lot prettier than I expected it would - Crash games were trash though (Tag Team Racing excluded) so if it's still the same clunky gameplay then that's not for me. We want Spyro.

More nostalgic remasters in Patapon and PaRappa - whatever.

Horizon: Zero Dawn looks awesome, can't wait for that. I think the Last Guardian will review well too.

Nex Machina - Housemarque are masters of the twin stick shooter.

PSVR - still not enticed enough to buy it I must say.

Ni No Kuni 2 - take my money

Return of the Knack - R.I.P XBOX ONE

Sony have seemingly shown there entire hand for the rest of this generation and it looks pretty sweet, they just need to deliver it now.

might be my age but it's probably because I missed them and didn't play them until mid-PS2 era but imho - PS1/N64 platformers do not age well AT ALL.

...apart from my boy Spyro the motherfucking dragon of course.

I think Crash 2 and 3 haven't aged too badly but the original game is so clunky and full of cheap deaths. It's hard as nails so I'd imagine they'd fix that and nerf the difficulty somewhat. Other than that and "prettier" graphics I can't see what more this would have to offer. (If they remastered the original Crash Team Racing and added online multiplayer, I would be all over that shit, mind you.)

The same goes for Parappa the Rappa. Back in the day it was an important game for its genre and the music was extremely catchy but is it really necessary to give it a HD upgrade baring in mind you can finish the entire game in half an hour. A sequel would have been a far better idea.

Re: RavenBish - Spyro doesn't need a remake. It still holds up graphically even by today's standards and played like a gem (YSWIDT?) so what more could they do with it?

You know what, I checked out that Parappa the Rappa demo yesterday and after remembering it fondly (purely from the demo ) I realised that, as you say, aside from the catchy music, I could not understand how the fuck that was made into a proper game. There's just nothing to it

It was 1997 and there was nothing quite like it on the market at the time. Unless they're going to add a galaxy-load of content onto the remaster, however, they really didn't need to bother with it.

Is it a remake from the ground up? It's a reskin as far as I can tell. Little different from those fan projects made using the Unity Engine that are so popular.

Nice surprise as the new game in the Valkyria Chronicles series is actually coming west.

This one is Valkyria Revolution and is more of a JRPG than an SRPG.
