Seems to be a lot of bitterness and resentment towards Grayson from our fans which I find a bit bizarre. Hope we win and it would be somewhat amusing to be the team that got him sacked but I don't wish him any ill will whatsoever.

- Consolidated us in the Championship,
- Helped put together our current squad which is potentially the best in my lifetime,
- Beat the lashers

This has banana skin written all over it, Sunderland expect to lose, manager under big pressure and we're high on confidence. Would be classic Preston to not turn up. McGeady will probably run riot as well, I hope Pearson is available so he can stick to him like glue, failing that it would have to be Browne's job as Welsh doesn't have the legs.

I'd drop Hugill for this one, we have good options so I hope Neil doesn't play him every game without fail like Grayson did.

How any PNE fan can call Grayson is beyond me. He is up there with our best ever managers for the way he transformed our club. And the countless memories he has given the PNE faithful.

Away wins at Burnley Rovers and Bolton all in the same season. Our day at Wembley. Beating Blackpool. Consolidating us back in the championship. Assembling the best squad since the Billy Davies days.

Any fans who boo or call him are just dicks.

I'm sure 95% of deepdale will give him the massive reception he deserves.

No problem with McGeady's comments to be honest, he's right, statistics mean nothing on the day and I wouldn't expect him to say we have better players than Sunderland, even if he might think it. On paper I think Sunderland have a decent team, they just don't seem to give a fuck.

Pre match he basically said their squad is better than ours, which on paper it probably is. What else is he meant to say? Not exactly gonna say "nah theyre well better"

He basically did an Adebayor, was pretty funny.

Huntington was absolutely laughably bad today, Vaughan won everything. Only players I thought played well were Davies, Earl and Johnson. Maguire awful, Harrop poor, Browne shocking, Hugill scored a screamer in the only thing he did all game.

Poor first half. Sunderland were more up for it and deservedly led at half time. Badly missed Pearson or Welsh, no protection, Vaughan won loads up top and Ndong had free reign.

Stepped it up second half and scored 2 in quick succession but let McGeady into score soon after, pretty sloppy. McGeady running the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Town End was a bit pathetic, desperate for attention, you scored in front of nearly 3,000 away fans, celebrate with them.

DJ was outstanding today, didn't waste a pass. Hugill' s goal was a belter.

Sunderland played pretty well, not relegation fodder on that showing but if you can't hold leads, who knows?
