What a hype job this man is. If Spurs have anything about them they'll sack him.

They're level on points with Burnley and we're in December you twerp.

Supposedly title challengers and they're 7 points off Chelsea, 10 United & 15 City.

How is that not grounds for dismissal?

Let's see. They're effectively playing every game away from home and are going through a rough patch. Only a fucking idiot would have had them down as title challengers this season. I called them finishing outside the top 4 before a ball was kicked thanks to the Wembley factor, and that looks to be the case right now.

But his job is rightly secure, he's proven he's taking them in the right direction and that will continue once they settle into their new stadium.

Now put your tackle and rod away.

No. After 38 games. But after 15 with Burnley punching above their weight and Spurs in the middle of a bit of a slump? It means little.

Back to their natural position aren't they..?

On a serious note Spurs weren't actually that bad today - dominated most of the first half after equalising and defended pretty well once Sanchez was sent off.

Trouble is Ali hasn't got going and actually their subs bench was quite weak compared to the other top teams.

I do agree they and Liverpool could do with winning something or coming to close to it to really live up to all the hype.

Obviously the strongest team these days is the one holding all the others up in the division. What team is that? Yet the inevitable news about Clement is still awaited while apparently Poch should be ejected.

Spurs will not get anybody better than Poch. Stadium with much improved capacity to open at the start of next season to accommodate a massive waiting list for season ticket holders. This season was never going to be make or break for them. The improved revenue will allow them to increase salaries and compete for the top players from next summer.

In the meantime, the Champions League run and memory of the Real Madrid games are a decent consolation for this season, even if they go no further.

Poch is fine but it shouldn't be underestimated what Kane does for this team. If he were to leave, Poch would be sacked within six months imo.

Poch will end up at Madrid in the next year or 2 and I can see Silva replacing him at Spurs.

As for the OP, wind it in

I agree that there are some mitigating circumstances but imo they are entirely predictable and it makes me think the likes of Alli and Kane should probably just leave if they want to win anything. Next season Spurs will be at a new stadium again, and it might take them 2-3 years to make it feel like home. God knows how far the likes of City will be ahead of them by then.

If this is serious then this represents the worst excesses of knee-jerkism among football fans and doesn't take into account that Spurs are operating at a disadvantage compared to the two Manchester clubs at least. Not every club can win a trophy this season.

They missed the boat in the last two seasons. That was the best opportunity they will ever have and they failed.

Wembley shouldn't be a factor or an excuse but me like many others just felt it would be and it has been. They've been doing really badly.

The next 6 months are huge for the future of the club and manager. If they finish outside the top four I believe there will be an exodus and what will be the point of going into a lovely new stadium with a diminished team and a manager who will be looking for an escape route?

It's right though Pagdoll when you think about it.

Players will depart for better wages and the longer the manager sticks around the more his stock will lower.

Like I said the next 6 months are huge. No question about that.
