Will stick this in here for the proper Pokemon fans, rather than the Go bandwagoners. Suspect Oaf's already watched it three times over, but stumbled across this series this evening:

Not had a chance to watch it myself, but it looks like it could be alright.

However, one thing I'd wish they'd do with these more "mature" Pokemon series' is make them proper full length episodes. I was hyped for Origins back in the day, but they were also just three minutes long and skipped over large parts of the original game.

I would actually sit through 45 minutes-an hour of these. Even the kids anime which is 20 minutes would be much better.

You know, I've known about that series since it first came out but I never got around to watching them yet  I do intend to, one day...

So not really sun/moon related but one for you pokemon fans.

Since GO my girls have really got into pokemon and we recently start collecting the cards and even playing the TCG online. Apart from getting a DS is there any other good pokemon games around they could play on either tablets, PS or PC?

To be honest, Pokemon has been pretty exclusive to Nintendo consoles until very recently, so there's not that much of it out there yet. The only ones I know of are the ones you've mentioned (Go, TCG online) and two others available on mobile/tablets; Pokemon Duel and Pokemon Shuffle. Duel is sort of like a... board game... battle type thing. Hard to explain  And Shuffle is one of those "match 3 gems" type things.

How about seeing if you can pick up a cheap DS or something, though? Maybe even a Gameboy or GBA or something? There's no Pokemon experience better than the main series!

Also, get them watching the series. It's like the best thing ever when you're a kid. And I reckon it's on Netflix or something.

I think all pokemon related games are only for nintendo products, but you can say.. play the old games on a pc/tablet/phone by downloading an emulator and playing them that way.

Yeah they have been watching the series for ages, also got the kodi addon with them all on.

Looking at a DS but even the 2 is £100 ish with the game and need 2 of them! They are bad at sharing, they might have to wait till Christmas then, as they are already getting new tablets for their birthday.

Cheers anyhow, they like TCG so that will keep them going for now along with the pokemon stuff in the Roblox app which they like.

Do they have phones? I'd recomend just downloading an nds or gameboy emulator

It could work on that, it will work on tablets for sure. Anything with the google app market basically. I think it cost 3/4 quid for the emulator and the games are free. Much cheaper than actually buying the console

I'm not sure I could sit through a Pokemon movie these days (apart from the first one actually, because that's fucking awesome and anyone who says otherwise is a loser), but with this being said that film looks visually fucking stunning. I've always liked the art style of the Pokemon anime but that looks impressive as fuck.

Plus it has the whole nostalgia thing going for it.

Gah. I'm gonna end up setting through another Pokemon movie, aren't I?
