Both of these teams had poor opening games and will be looking to improve in game 2.

Portugal looked in command in the first half against Iceland, but got pegged back in the 2nd half and never recovered. They should have won, but didn't. Will Ronaldo have stopped whinging by the time this game comes around? They don't want to be dropping points in a 2nd game, they really will get nervy then.

As for Austria, really poor showing against Hungary. And now they have to face probably the best team in the group. Suspect they would take a point and take their chances of finishing 2nd/3rd should they beat Iceland in their last game.

This is a big game for both sides, both could really do with the win as they'll be kicking themselves for letting points slip in opening games they were heavy favorites for. Think Portugal were unfortunate not to beat Iceland who rode their luck a fair bit, whereas Austria were just poor against Hungary. Think we'll see improvement from both sides but both sides share the spoils, 1-1.

The draw against Iceland would have been a kick up the arse for Portugal and can't see them making the same mistakes in this one

This Austrian goalkeeper looks a bit - and plays a bit - like Scott Bevan.

Can't help but think Ronaldo has a negative effect on the morale of that Portugal side. Despite his quality, I don't think his teammates particularly like him. He is petulant, selfish and can't communicate with his teammates in a way that is appropriate for a captain.

Bit like Arnautovic by the looks of things for Austria. And he's not even their best player. Already moaned at Fuchs and whined at Alaba on the free kick.

Why the fuck is he allowed to take them. I'd tell him to fuck right off I don't care who he thinks he is. He must have the worst conversion rate going of all of Europes main takers. Bale scored 2 from 2 aint he?

Because the one in a hundred of his free kicks that actually goes on in looks great on his own personal highlight reel.

2 from 3 I think. Ronaldo's record in tournaments is 0 from 35.

The Ronaldo stuff is hilarious, but Austria deserve fuck-all from this. They're the worst side in the tournament so far.

This has been shit group.

It's a shame but I think Portugual will get out of this group as Hungary are all but through.

I was surprised by the lack of stamina in a lot of Austrias players. As Keown said if they had a little bit of pace up front then they could do real damage, but their forwards just cant take advantage of the breaks.
