Stoke for us tonight.

Forest have pissed us about for the second season in a row and are now sending their U23's next week (having cancelled our game last season).

We've got Stoke supporting Matt Rhead playing for Lincoln and Lincoln supporting Sam Clucas playing for Stoke.

From a fracture dislocated ankle. Depends if it needs surgery. You will be luck to see him for next 5 to 6 months.

It's now confirmed as a broken ankle with ligament damage too, really nasty.

TWTD stating 6 months.

INJURED OR SUSPENDED: CHAMBERS, NSIALA, BISHOP, LANKESTER, NOLAN, EDWARDS, JUDGE, NYDAM, SEARS, FOLAMI, MORRIS

0-3 defeat against Blackburn. According to those who were there the scoreline was harsh and it was a surprisingly good run out.

2-1 win against Millwall with a brace from Theo Robinson. We had Joe Shaughnessy trialling at centre back and was pretty decent by all acounts.

Stoke were very physical to say the least! Spent most of the game fouling Payne especially. Poor first half but better in the second and very nearly nicked a draw.
Payne looks like a good player on first viewing.

Very much a 2nd string for us at Fleetwood tonight, bar 2, kids on the bench. Got Newcastle tomorrow.

Bit shitty on Fleetwood if they were hoping for a proper test.

A mix & match Dons went down 2-1 at Cobblers. Never really at the races and, but for a couple of stunning Nicholls saves, would have been more.

We, not for the first time, look undercooked going into the season. Plenty of key players still not been involved yet, and they won’t be available for next week. Mind you, it’s possible our season won’t be starting for a fortnight yet.

Lost 2-0 at Scunny, although we've played two friendlies this week already (Stoke on Tuesday and Derby U23's on Wednesday).

Team was probably 3 or 4 different to what I'd expect our starting XI to be next Saturday.

0-0 with Cambridge, Downes headbutt after a bad challenge in 88th minute moment of madness,

Fortunately no reperucussions as long as the FA don't open an investigation.

Beat Hampton & Richmond 3-1 including a cracking free kick from Luke O'Neill. Does he do that often Gills fans?

Match v Bradford abandoned at half time by agreement with both managers. Heavy rain and an ineffective drainage system made the game farcical (according to those who were there - I wasn't), though the Bantams apparently had the better of things and were winning 1-0...

0-0 at home to Walsall. Didn’t go, but didn’t sound inspiring and pitch problems, though the game did finish. Miller picked up an injury which may see him out for the duration of his 6 month deal and Caprice injured from a bad challenge.

Aside from this and a 2-3 win in a behind closed doors game at Burnley, we lost all first team pre-season games. Poor pre-season is becoming the norm for Rovers.

Drew 2 2 at home to a Leicester side containing some players that have featured a fair bit in their 1st team.
Strangest thing was a Leicester fan invaded the pitch, managed to evade a few stewards, before one brought him down like Gerry Gow would have.
Banning order for a friendly at Rotherham, our beer must be stronger.

Drew 2-2 with Hull yesterday and for the first time we actually looked like a team and out played them for most of the game even though we had no Marquis and Joe Wright injured again so we are very light at centre half and upfront. Unless we add to those positions we will be nearer the bottom than the top.

Same happened in the Stevenage v Gillingham game I think.

I don’t want to say I told you so but I said in the transfer thread that he takes a wicked free kick.

draws against Brentford (H), Barnet (A), Theresa May's Maidenhead United (A), and MASSIVE wins against Woking (A) and Wealdstone (A) can only mean that we're going to piss this league in unbeaten glory.

Especially since a good chunk of the various squads that featured were triallists, and probably won't play for us in the season proper.

Yup, you can tell a lot from PSFs.

1-1 with Forest U23's.

It was supposed to be a first team game but Forest changed it and sent the U23's (with a sprinkling of more experienced players by the looks of it) and as a result, we also changed ours and in the main played a young side with trialists.
