always fun to look back on at the end of the season as we did last year. Will do a more serious and accurate one the day before the season starts but worth a go for a laugh now, the lack of football talk is boring me recently!

Predicting the top six and bottom 3:

1) Boro
2) Hull
-----------------
3) Norwich
4) Derby
5) Wolves
6) Sheffield United
---------------------
22) Bolton
23) Millwall
24) Birmingham

Anticipate a dull midtable season for us. So long as we're not in a relegation scrap again. Think we're capable of top half but whether we'll have the consistency I'm not sure. Depends on signings as well of course.

Reckon Forest will go well next year under Warburton. They played good football after he joined even if the style didn't particularly suit a relegation scrap. Starting afresh with a whole preseason under his belt I think they'll be the surprise package.

Wolves - money isn't everything, and from the outside it all seems a bit chaotic. Think it's far more likely to end in tears than be a success tbh.

Way too early to predict anything but I can tell you one thing, United won't be anywhere near the top 6.

Relegated?

Want to have a charity bet that we will stay up? Maybe if we're in danger we can just use our billionaire owners to bribe the opposition...

These predictions I find comical, same question to you, want a charity bet that we finish above Bristol?
Go on Mark I will, we'll both probably be shite again anyway. Name a price mate.

Edit, predictions, no order:

Top six - Villa, Wednesday, Derby, Norwich, Boro, Hull.

Bottom three - Bolton, Millwall, Barnsley.

Careful Mark, this is all sounding very familiar....

I find these funny. I'm pretty pessimistic when it comes to our chances this season, but if Preston finish 8th and us 19th I'll happily hand you a £1,000.

£14 billion pounds richer, making 20m bids for players and some of you have us to finish 16th-20th?

I will enjoy revisiting this thread at the end of the season.

As we stand we're midtable. With the takeover set to be announced in the coming days/weeks we'll have the financial power to blow every club in this division and majority of the PL out of the water.

Hopefully we'll not do a QPR with it.

Kind of funny seeing some predicting us to be relegated and some predicting playoffs.

To be fair the last quote isn't wrong. Our owners are richer than every club owner in this country bar Man City and Chelsea.

Anyway we shall see. The reason we were shit last year was because we decided to sack our manager a week before the season, then signed 13 random players without a pre season. Now we have one of the most highly sorted managers in Europe, an open chequebook and time on our side. I think with the potential this club has, playoffs will be expected at a minimum.

Still, the bet offer stands, will you take it?

All of which suggests you haven't got the most considered, knowledgable people running the club. If this Champions League manager gets off to a slow start you can bet he'll be gone by September.

Naturally expectations will be high but I think you're more likely to struggle than be fighting at the top. I'm not betting you'll go down, I'm being a bit out there so I look good if it comes off, but I'll have a tenner you finish bottom half if you want?
