I think the worst that could happen is a midtable finish, we won't be anywhere near the relegation zone.

I'm sure you probably thought that the last time you was relegated to L1 aswell. Things can go tits up very quickly in football and this is the championship afterall.

That's fine. I just don't think it's entirely unreasonable to make bold predictions about clubs that are undergoing big transformation. Additionally, it's probably a bit silly that anyone should take offence at predictions made given we'll know for certain in less than a year.

Then and only then will I laugh at all you treacherous tossers who have tipped us for relegation.

I genuinely don't think anyone would be shocked regardless of what Wolves do this season, they could finish 1st-24th and barely anyone would be shocked at the outcome (bar Mark it seems) considering how unpredictable it is as to how this season will unfold for Wolves.

A lot of fans expected us to be in freefall that season. The club was in disaray and the fans jumped on the players back if we weren't 5-0 up in 10 minutes. You are right though, this is the most unexpected league in the world, anything can happen.

Wasn't taking offence, I was just hoping for people to give me a decent reason why they think we will go down. The whole "x manager doesnt know how to manage in y league" has been proven wrong on so many past occasions.

It's just me being confident in our chances. Some of the more older level headed Wolves fans would probably agree with you. I've watched Wolves for a long time and this is the best set of players I've ever seen for the club, and thats including our 4 years in the Prem.

You must have put them on early to get 14-1, I got 9-1 at the end of July. It's part of my league winners Acca though and I've got Blackburn so it isn't looking good.

Aye, did it in June, although it was with Ladbrokes. I did Man Utd, Wolves, Charlton, Luton and Tranmere on the league winners bet.

Yours is the same as my old mans, I left the conference out and went with Man City, Wolves, Blackburn and Mansfield. I haven't even seen Mansfield's first two results as I only really watch the Championship and League 1 with a bit of Premier League if I can be arsed.

I've gone with City, Fulham, Portsmouth, Luton and Tranmere.

£5 pays nearly £16k

Did the same but Lincoln for league 2! Plus Celtic, Dundee United and PSG.

£3 wins £110k

Time to be smug after 3 games, I imagine this could be unpopular :animatedf:

22. Wolves
23. Bolton
24. QPR

Wolves - money isn't everything, and from the outside it all seems a bit chaotic. Think it's far more likely to end in tears than be a success tbh.

Good prediction mate.

20) Wolves
21) Bristol City (either 6th or 21st for us, because we never seem to have a boring season)
22) Barnsley
23) Bolton
24) Millwall

erm...

All of which suggests you haven't got the most considered, knowledgable people running the club. If this Champions League manager gets off to a slow start you can bet he'll be gone by September.

Naturally expectations will be high but I think you're more likely to struggle than be fighting at the top. I'm not betting you'll go down, I'm being a bit out there so I look good if it comes off, but I'll have a tenner you finish bottom half if you want?

Did we do this?

22 Wolves
23 Brentford
24 Cardiff

You might be onto something here pal..

Don't deride my predictions.Wolves will struggle like fuck. Do you think the likes of Neves and Espírito Santo know about this division??

Well Nuno has won 3 games against all of our promotion rivals and Neves has just scored a 30 yarder, If that's what not knowing the division is like I can't wait to see like what they're like in a few months time.

To be fair, IT IS only 3 games. All you've managed so far is to keep the pace with Ipswich Town.

Season's only 10 minutes old Mark! This is going to be spectacularly fun if it all implodes ;)

Tbf though, you are looking good. Maybe you might have a bit of fun after all

Considering we've so far not seen through injuries:
Emyr Huws
Tom Adeyami
Bersant Celina (in the league)
Teddy Bishop
(All midfielders)

And further injuries in the opening games:
Tommy smith
Adam Webster
Andre Dozzell
Flynn Downes (promising youngster who arguably won us the Brum game)
Top 2 our second CB and reserve CB, so have had to play Spence at CB.

I think our start is quite frankly remarkable! Very much needed following the fall out between the fans and club last season. A few new signings for money rather than freebies and 4 wins has really upped the mood in Town!

I'm going to piss myself when all these talented flair players from the continent realise they don't like it in the piss rain on a Tuesday night in Bolton and turn into Ali Dia :2thumb:
