City will send a strong team out and take a lead to AG, 3-1 at best for Brizzle.

I just don't see that happen. Man City have a lot going on this season. The fact that the first leg is in Manchester makes it a bit easier for BC. Man City will play a reserve team and if we can hold them to 0-0 then Bristol City can too. And if you can hold someone to 0-0 you can nick a goal. A few years back we were the first team to beat Man Utd that season when we were rock bottom of the PL (we were rock bottom so many seasons, that's why I can't remember the exact year).

I can see Bristol City winning this. 0-0 at the Nondescriptmiddleeasternsponsoredsoulessbowlarena, then 1-0 at the shiny new Ashton Gate. Alan Dicks to come on as a legendary 93rd minute sub, nod it in from a set piece, then race up the M5 to shake a celebratory fist at Nuno. And if Man City do win, it won't be by a landslide.
I've just put a fiver on that exact scenario

6-1 on aggregate, which is at least four goals better than we'd manage.

I think you've lost the plot mate

People can't be serious in thinking that Bristol City will get anything other than a pasting.

Man City are probably the best team in Europe at the minute, then you've got the fact that the Bristol City players are really really tired.

Except the majority of the first team have had a week or so off since Villa.
Yesterdays team was largely academy players, with Flint, Smith and Steele providing experience.

Never mind though, let's ignore reality so a cheapshot can be made.

Why would our players still be exhausted? Other than Flinty and Hodor, they've all had a week off! I can actually see us surprising Man City at the Etihad.. Maybe even scrape a 0-0 draw. This will spring them into action though and we'll get picked off in the home leg. Our chances of getting through are pretty much zero basically.

We'll get dicked there but if I was deciding whether to go or not purely on the game expectation of the result I wouldn't have bothered. Not really arsed if we get hit for 10.

Jealousy's an ugly trait boss.

Jealousy :bg::bg::bg: seen plenty of cup semi finals mate. 5 in total and we've lost the lot I wish we were in this one like. Nowt to do with jealousy it's just laughable at the tired remarks you're fans were coming out with after getting hammered by villa then you again yesterday saying the lads must be shattered after 60mins playing against premier league players. Get a fucking grip ffs they are professional footballers earning fortunes it pisses me off when they get sympathy for being tired , they could quite easily play a game every 2 days all year.

Worrying thing is, if for instance we go 2 down early and become demoralised, Man City aren't going to consider it job done and play out the game.. They are going to go for the kill to make the second leg meaningless. It's very possible that if we come out slowly, we could lose something like 6 or 7-0. You may not care, would be a disaster in my opinion though and shoot our confidence to bits. Still think we'll still be in the tie for the home leg though.

Is it just me that read that in Vicky Pollard's voice?

Do your research, the players we had out yesterday aren't regular professional footballers, they were all kids from our academy apart from 3/4 of them getting the runaround by a decent PL side.

Our team run the most miles in the league per game on average this season, it's so demanding. Not surprising it's caught up with us.

I think most of us would take that. At least we would still be in the tie going back to ours.
The beauty of this tie is that nobody, apart from the most rose tinted of our fans, thinks we will win. At 1-3 starting the 2nd leg, we would have a chance albeit a very slight one.
My hope is that we are still in touch but Pep feels comfortable playing the youngsters at our place. If we're more than 2 behind, we won't pull that back and if it's level / only 1 down, he'll probably play a stronger side.
Whatever happens, we'll have a laugh on Tuesday.

Wrong. Some of us suggested that you can win (see above post). 2-1 down puts Pep in a difficult situation. He really can't afford to send a strong side down the M5. It'll be stronger than tonight, I suspect but you will have home advantage. It's doable.

Can't see him changing much in terms of his team or squad, its strong enough.

Reyt unlucky to not draw, in the end we were both wrong:2thumb:
No I wasn't. I said "if Man City do win, it won't be by a landslide". 2-1 isn't a landslide.
You said it would be aggregate plus 6 to Man City, and then that I had lost the plot. You might still be right on the aggregate, but I don't believe they will. I predict (sadly for Bristol City), 0-0 in the second leg. BC could win it, and I hope they do, but I just feel Man City will send a team to defend that slim lead.

And no, I hadn't - and haven't - lost the plot.

Man city will not send a team to defend a lead they will send a team to try and win 5-0 as they do anywhere they play. They might not do it as they didn't do tonight. It Was only a football scoreline prediction (very rare anyone gets it right) and a joke of a comment about you thinking bristol city would win calm yourself down about it.

I'm impressed you can read emotion into anything anyone else writes when you are so actively busy being right and mocking others. I'll throw a whole load of fucking emojis. :conf::animatedf::dis::bg::bg::bdick::eye::fart:

To be fair I don’t think Manchester City are capable of playing a tight defensive game.
It’s either all out attack or when they want to conserve energy it’s patient possession controlling the game.

The Kyle Walker signing sums up Pep. Walker isn’t a great defender but his style offers offensive/ attacking options.
He’s excellent bombing forward and has the pace and fitness to get back when the opposition counter attack.
