call me a bit biased but whoever finishes 3rd out of sheff utd and us deserves to get promoted

clearly the 3 best sides in this league (yes i know it doesn't work like that) play-offs are scary for any team esepcially bristol city and villa's form right now

Bit premature ruling City out of finishing third. Gap between 1st and 3rd could be 5 points with 15 to play for after tonight, hardly an insurmountable lead. And before anyone says it, sure they *should* beat Reading but then Leeds *should* have beaten QPR/Brum sides on 7/5 game losing streaks and twice ahead at home, Sheff Utd *should* have beaten a Bristol City side winless in 5. But football isn't that straight-forward.

Agree that the play-offs are going to be horrible for whichever of the three don't make it.

Not a fucking chance you will come 3rd. If we come 3rd another playoff defeat to come, if Leeds come 3rd I think they would go up, as I actually think they are the best team in the league, a few too many stupid results has cost them being in your position or better.

I personally think it's going to the last game we have Ipswich away hopefully we only need a win and not have to rely on whoever you are playing

Yes I reckon last game for sure, weve got stoke , I'd take the same now, beat stoke we go up. Few twists yet though.

A weird one tonight, we dominated in terms of shots and chances but didn't look at all impressive until the final ten minutes, and even then we fell asleep and allowed a last minute equaliser.

Hopefully that serves as a wake-up call, as too many of the players out there tonight looked complacent and weren't at all up to their usual standards; just goes to show that it isn't quite over yet.

A reaction definitely needed on Sunday to calm the nerves again, for sure.

If the Championship has taught us anything, while mathematically possible there is always a chance of everything. Both you and Leeds could easily win your last five games (you more than Leeds what with Villa in quite some form). And Norwich could easily go on a run like after Christmas. They've not won this season without Buendia and he's still suspended for another 2 games, then away at Stoke where they have a pretty poor record, Blackburn at home (winnable) and end at Villa Park (not somewhere you want to go needing a result, especially with City's record on last day when needing a result. 0-6 Fulham, 2-4 Charlton spring to mind)

They're in a great position and really should see the season out but stranger things have happened. The way some are talking, it's like they're 12 clear and just need one more win.

Really can’t understand why any Norwich fan or player could feel nervous.
You have a massive lead, loads of breathing space.
The only way you’ll fail to reach the autos is if you suddenly hit relegation form
If that happens then you don’t deserve to be promoted.

5 games left, lose the next 2, then i’ll accept that nerves might start creeping in
But the odds on Norwich not being promoted are massive, realistically nothing to worry about, yet.

Whatever happens at Villa park today, we can't say Lee Johnson hasn't picked an attacking line up. Jeez!

With Grealish out for Villa, this could be a tight one today.
Now watch it end 5 nil again. :(

Can anyone tell me why Villa were given a pen?
No sour grapes but that was never a penalty in a million years.

Irrational perhaps but when things have been going so well it's not uncommon - especially in sport - for people to expect everything to come crashing down at some point.

To be honest, I really didn't expect you and Leeds to drop so many points between you. Pretty consistently too over the last month, not sure you've both won on the same gameweek since before you beat them at Elland Road. You v Millwall today, you v Brum midweek, Leeds v Brum last weekend, you v Bristol C the weekend before and then obviously Leeds v you before international break. In perspective, our dropped points midweek really weren't a big deal at all.

Win tomorrow and we're all but promoted after today's results. Hopefully a better performance than on Wednesday though, as we could finally secure promotion at home for the first time ever with a win on Good Friday (if we do our bit tomorrow and if Sheffield United drop points on Friday again).

Relying on you to lose now, not only that our own performance levels seemed to have dipped too, one thing in our favour still is we play before you the next 3 games, I know that didnt work yesterday but if we were to win it certainly puts more pressure on yourselves to perform too. I really cant see you dropping points to Wigan but brentford and villa wont be easy though neither will hull or stoke away for us. Goal difference could still end up playing a big part too.

Well, we're doing everything we can to bottle it, it seems, as that performance was absolutely abysmal from most of the starting 11 today, and Farke was once again far too slow to make the necessary changes.

An absolute must-win on Friday now, but we'll have to make wholesale changes otherwise it won't happen if we continue playing as poorly as that.
