    3-2 to Real, Ronaldo hattrick.

It's a shame Eric Bailly is suspended for this. You'd think being banned for the Europa League final would've been severe enough punishment (especially for a rather innocuous sending off). I would've liked to have seen how our best players fared against the best team in Europe right now.

Got a feeling we'll go with 3 at the back for this one. If so I hope Rashford and Lukaku start upfront together.

Crooks of Europe (when Real wins, of course) ;)

Shown live on German Free TV (thank god not only on "plague Sky" ) so I'll watch it.

    What's wrong with you, epic?

If Pogba scores from outside the box this match I'll permanently change my avatar to a Liverpool badge.

Real were the better side and deserved their win.

On the bright side - Lukaku scored, Matić fits us like a glove and we created enough clear chances to score two or three more against the best side in Europe.

Not so bright side - We missed them.

I'll be back for the West Ham match if anyone wants to hear my mic-less voice scream for 90 minutes.

Abysmal performance from United. Played off the park by real.

You'll get your chance to respond if we struggle against Hoffenheim next week no doubt. :D

I'll bide my time, you've got two legs!

Your match is much more important than this one but you've also got a much better chance of getting the result than we had, too.

Aye true. Doesn't mean it won't be a tricky tie though, so you could have your fun in parts with it. :p

It's probably the trickiest tie you could have gotten!

Liverpool has to reach the Champions League, Hoffenheim not. Even the Europa League is a fantastic experience for the club. Tbh I don't think that they'll advance against Liverpool although I would be pleased if they do so. They lost 2 of their key players in Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Süle (both German internationals) but I am very pleased that they could get Serge Gnabry on loan from Bayern.

Anyway, if they lose in the two legs it isn't the end of the world. For Liverpool it is a bit different I think when they would only qualify for the Europa league. Let's see....

Yup but they have more to fear from us than we have of them. If we can't get past them, we wouldn't deserve to be in the CL anyway as we wouldn't be competitive.

This is a good analysis of the game if anyone's interested:
