I'm a bit surprised. I could understand if he had quit but, ironically, he's great at avoiding relegation. He's also led West Ham and Spurs to among their highest ever PL finishes. Promotion with Pompey and QPR. I see his win record is 30% which is low but not disastrous (in the short term) ...Rowett's was 39% when he was sacked.

I adit, if we had lost six on the trot, I'd probably be shouting for the manager's head, but still.... Something's not right down at the Non-Ferrous Arena in Birmingham. Wonder who'll be next up? I can see Carsley being given it full-time.

Edit: Worth seeing how long-term faith in Paul Tisdale has paid off.

With 38 League matches left to play, the team we've got is still capable of challenging for the playoffs. Would be naive and foolish to write off a season in September. The new manager will have some decent players to work with, albeit players who are severely low on confidence.

Walter Zenga's available. It would make you the most famous club in Italy.
We'll happily take Nuno Espírito Santo off your hands if you want Zenga back at Wolves.

On a side note, Ugo Ehiogu is 66/1 with PaddyPower to be our next manager. Printing money right there.

Deal! We'll have that nice Paul Jewell as his #2 too. If only ALL football deals were this easy. Now WE get to be the most famous clubs in Italy. Again.

My Grandfathers a blue nose and seeing him today made me feel like shit tbh , was on a proper downer. He was a regular season ticket holder for over 2 decades when he could get down

Horrible company Paddy Power, guarantee they've allowed Ehiogu's name to appear on there for a bit of publicity. They don't care if its good or bad.

Your granddad was down the pub last night. He said, "Well, it could be worse. At least none of me family are Villa fans."
