What are we laughing at here? That a lot of the conference teams aren't well supported? That's hardly a surprise or something that is laughable in my opinion. Look at the distances they are travelling as well. Sutton to Barrow in midweek? Gateshead to Guiseley in midweek? Long trips for teams that don't get many fans in the other 3.

Given you are flying high in L2 and got less than 3k home fans for your last home game, are you really in a position to mock others for low attendances?
This. Unreal hypocrisy and a show of how quick people get the billy big bollocks gene!

Don't need to.

Ahhh. Do you ever get bored of being proven wrong? Your only comments are misguided comments about Mansfield and Notts county (both above you in the league) or about attendances.

Mansfield and Accrington combined don't get what "almighty" Lincoln get attendance wise, yet both are clearly better than you.

My warning on attendances down there are a warning to clubs going down who aren't aware of it (west bars spireite for instance said he wasn't looking forward to double figure fans attending next season) which lead me to post that.

I plead of you to research your posts before making further inaccurate statements.

If you're going to be insulting, at least get the club's name right. - or were you thinking of the caravan site?

To sum up the decline of our once proud football club... i never thought i'd be sat nervously checking how Barnet are getting on in the hope they dont close the gap (no disrespect of course) between us and the drop.

Whatever happens between now and May we need to seriously sort our shit out off the field.

For what it's worth (with is not a lot in this situation) clubs your size, if not maybe a little bigger have gone down and suffered.

And yes it sucks.

Best of luck - your club were wonderful in hospitality to us Mansfield fans when we came over in the autumn

With our current ownership situation with an owner who admits he is numb to the club and still refuses to sell we will only suffer further if we go down.

I think that's us done. We were starting to show some spirit and ability but sadly we've just shown how fragile that was.

Big results for us there that looked to be going the other way. Another game down for Barnet and Crewe and gap retained with a game in hand... need to take advantage of that mind.

I would be astonished if we salvage this from here.

Akinde looks totally lacking in confidence and there's been a general malaise about the team for ages now.

The root of the problems lie behind the scenes. We need a massive backroom clear out - way too many redundant and needless staff getting in each other's way.

Ha you've been caught out loadsa times on here talking utter bollocks, classic one being the other day in the checkatrade thread when someone showed you up by pulling up one of your older posts :fl: notice you didn't respond to that, understandable, you must have been rather embarrassed.

And a little tip, stop saying after a discussion that you've "won the argument". Sounds very childish and 99 times out of 100 you most certainly have not, you don't have the intellect :ohy:

Ah. So you had no come back on what I said and posted that.

Cute

You quoted that Lincoln would finish top 3 no doubt.

as it stands Lincoln aren't in the playoffs and are 9 points adrift of the top 3 with many superior sides above you. This should be amusing

Any club going down into the tinpot league need to be aware that a lot of these two-bit part time clubs you've never heard of with virtually no fans will probably embarrass you quite often, as most either have decent financial backing or will raise their games massively when they play you.

We experenced this as one of the big dogs at that level, as these pesky little clubs kept raising their game against us which produced plenty of shock results, and was part of the reason we took so long to finally get promoted. It's a tough league, going to places like Boreham Wood, Braintree or Guiseley with hardy anyone there is hard, and most of the pitches are shite, as are the refs. The fixture list is also done in a very amateurish way.

Don't go down there expecting to piss it.

Doesn't look good - last nights results give us a glimmer of hope if we can somehow string some points together. Our re-arranged game against Morecambe is absolutely massive.

Definitely got let off in the alst couple of minutes last night. But we need to start winning games and I just don't see it happening. Wish I could make the Morecambe game as I actually travelled to the game last week and got as far as Lancaster before it was postponed. It will pretty much be make or break for us that one

Remember we had a game at Welling on a Tuesday night a few years back, was in the area on business so was in the town early and got chatting to a couple of lads in a local cafe when they saw the FGR colours.

They worked on a nearby building site, turned out to be a couple of their players, knocked off at 5 and went straight down the ground, as did most of their squad. Our lot stayed at a hotel, trained at Charlton and studied detailed data analysis on Welling provided by our technical staff. We got smashed 5-2.

Happens a lot at that level. Size of club means fuck all, it's all about attitude. Billy big bollocks gets you nowhere.

Can't see many making the Morecambe game now - far enough for a Saturday let alone midweek. Most attractive away day left for me is Cheltenham away following the Gold Cup on the Friday.

That's mad, do players down there actually have other jobs then? I assumed they were still full-time professionals

There are still a number of fully part time clubs, who train two nights a week where quite a lot of their players do have other jobs yes. Some clubs are a mixture of full and part time. The bigger clubs are full time.

Most of them tend to struggle but a few have actually been promotion contenders in recent years, Braintree were properly part time whe they finished third under the Cowley's a couple of years back, and Dover have had a mixture and have been regular contenders.

Indeed Alex Woodyard was a sparky before going full time with us in 2016.

Braintree was a complete disaster for us the season we won it, we took 1300 - in a crowd of 1750, took the lead then lost 2-1. Kiddy won at Wrexham and I thought we blew it.

There were a good 8/9 teams that were part time when we were there, that number the same now?

I remember it being really hard to rearrange a Tuesday night at home to Altrincham (we lost 1-0 lol) as some of their players needed to book the time off work!
