Just grabbed it from Steam and thought i'd start a thread as its the first truely different management thing to FM for quite a while.

its still in partial development so the game does have bugs being sorted and updated as it goes on, the gameplay is as basic as it comes, this is going back to old CM 1994/5 levels of gameplay, you have a tactic, play people in positions and hope for best....you cannot update stadiums or do mass scouting or train youth etc, etc. It is at present a one country and one player game, only England and no online features

so why give this a look................it has every single season and player for every single season from 1888 until 1998, with the correct leagues, teams, players and set-up from any of them era's.

You pick your starting season and it lets you go into that period with all teams, players and teams set-up....go back to the era of Division 3 North/South, go back to paying players £30 a week, be teams like Brighton Tower or save teams like Bradford PA or Workington from league relegation.

probs for the older Manager gamers who were used to the basic style and it has flaws yet, but for me seems worth biying it to give them money to develop the idea, plus you can get some good games out of this, at present i've gone with my first Carlisle side of 1988, but think i'll try and keep them in top flight in 1974

110 years of players, that must have been hard. Might give it a go, is it free?

no its £8.99 and be warned it is a basic CM 1995 type game engine so you frankly just pick a formation the players and its commentary matches....for them who are used to the luxury of modern management games it may be basic.

but if you do not mind a basic management game, but with a massive range of seasons and options it may be worth the money. think its a guy created it over 2-3 years.

not sure if a trial version about.

i like the team selection and tactics as back to simple, but the scouting of players is a chore, but only played a short while.

So you can go back to the 19th century tactics of a 1-3-6 etc?

This sounds quality. I might have to give this a blast. I find the modern Football Manager games are too much hard work so this could be up my alley for a bit of retro fun.

I think 93/94 was the first Champ Manager game I ever played and it is by far my favourite
