This bloke is truly horrific.

Still blaming everyone but himself. Now blaming the EFL for allowing foreign investors to buy football clubs. He’s a complete basket case, this bloke.

FairPlay to the fans that made the effort to go over to Belgium again though.

So you think criminal damage is all fine then?

This man has spent the last 5 years crippling the club. Yeah, I really don’t give shit about the criminal damage.

He’s a billionaire, I’m sure he’s got a few quid to clean a bit of spray paint off some walls.

Crippling? Explain...

Fucking hell. The man needs sectioning.

‘Proposing’ that the EFL acquire the club from him.

LDT said that the previous day there had been an interview with RD on TalkSPORT and it was mentioned there would be a “proposal” to the Fans’ Forum. He explained it’s not a proposal but something the club wanted to ask the fans about.

He said he has been trying to sell the club for more than a year and while a price is agreed with two parties because it hasn’t been sold he is looking to think outside the box at other options.

He asked the Fans’ Forum what they would think about the EFL being offered to acquire the club. He said they would pass the EFL Fit and Proper Persons test, they understand the monthly losses as they have the financial figures of the club and they have the football know how to run it.

LDT said RD is willing to give the footballing side of the club away for free (£1 officially), this wouldn’t include the land (stadium and training ground). He said there is an issue with the ex-directors, as it would need a consensus with them as well.

Ian Wallis (Bromley Addicks) said he is 100% against the club being split from the training ground/Valley. IW said “never in 1 million years”.

The Fans’ Forum unanimously insisted that the football club not be separated from the stadium and training ground in any deal.

This, along with his comments on TalkSport earlier this week just proves he was never interested in the football club, it was always about making profit on the land.

Has he ever been tested for a form of mental illness?

Have you ever seen him and Lamby in the same room?

Have you been tested to see if you have a fully functioning brain?

What the fuck is wrong with you?

I’m trying everything to ignore you, but I can’t.

There is a man who has come out and said he has no interest in our football club. He doesn’t care about it , he’s admitted that.

He has sold every last asset we have. All that is left is the land the the ground sits on and he’s looking to cling on to that.

You claim to support Charlton. Watching this c*** is killing me, what’s wrong with you? You either believe what you’re saying or you think it’s a joke. Either way, you can fuck off. Some of us were supporting us before the Premier League days.

He's only saying that as he's been driven to it by selfish, far right and violent "supporters" who spend too much time trying to make themselves look clever by creating propaganda and threatening behaviour to try and feed their egos.

Some of us were too young to remember before the Premier League days so pipe down you bell.

Thing is, despite all this off-field turmoil, Charlton are having a decent enough season: still a sure enough bet for the play-offs with 12 games to go.

Yep. Amazing what Bowyer has done really despite everything going on around him and an owner hell bent on making it as difficult as possible for him.

Problem is, if we don’t go up then I fully expect Bowyer to leave. He’s done a brilliant job and other clubs will be looking at him and there’s no way he’ll want to stay and try and work under Roland with absolutely no backing and having players sold from under him.

I hope the EFL put a statement up on their website something along these lines:

Dear Sirs,
We thank you for your kind offer to allow the English Football League ("EFL") to purchase Charlton Athletic Football Club, a club with a long and proud history and we are delighted by the club's recent good fortune on the pitch. To respond to the statement that was released onto your official club website some days ago, the official EFL retort is such:

No.

Bobbin (not you Lamby, you fucking halfwit) as Gills fans we, more than most, should have little or no sympathy for your plight.
However, we are all football fans and it genuinely saddens me when I see foreign owners come over here and destroy the very soul of our clubs. The only real losers in these situations are the fans, the fans that have supported these clubs all their lives.
A lot of people have absolutely no idea just how much our clubs mean to us.
So I wish you well and the sooner you get rid of that utter prick of an owner the better.
By the way, having no financial backing and selling your best players is par for the course for most of us down here I’m afraid.

To be fair, this tweet did make me laugh.

Absolutely, but with us it’s so unnecessary. Our owner is worth around £800m I believe plus the amount he has raked in from player sales to only then replace the majority of them with loans. I’m not saying he should be ploughing bundles of cash into the club, but he purchased a mid-table Championship club, an ounce of common sense should have told him that a bit of investment would likely have had us challenging for promotion and possibly ended ended up with us in the PL. He would have made a lot more money that way. Evidently, success for the club was never on the agenda.

In January, we were in the race to finish in the top two. He sold our top goal scorer and when Bowyer tried to sign a replacement he refused to sanction it. Effectively ending any chance of automatic promotion.

To be honest, it’s not even necessarily about player sales that’s part and parcel of football. It’s the blatant asset stripping which is obvious by him now holding the land to ransom now that he’s run out of academy products to flog to the first bidder.

I get that.
When I said ‘most of us down here’ what I really meant was that is the way it is for clubs like us.
To be fair the likes of Sunderland. Barnsley, Pompey and I suppose Charlton really shouldn’t have to sell their best players.
The problem is, the longer you are down here the harder it becomes. Just ask Coventry.

Is there a more stupid, deluded imbecile that has ever owned a football club?

FairPlay to Simon Jordan who actually calls him out on his bullshit.

This fucking idiot who is supposedly trying to sell the club goes on national radio explaining why people shouldn’t be buying an EFL club. My favourite bit is at the end when Jim White says to him “so what would you say to someone looking to buy a football club?” His response “Don’t buy it” no wonder he can’t sell the thing.

Slandering the EFL and Shaun Harvey by saying they’ve manipulated votes previously. Hopefully they’ll have their legal teams on him.

TractorBoys or any staff. Could you move this thread to the Championship section for at least a season? Cheers.

I wouldn't be celebrating just yet, Matt Southall was involved with Bassini during the attempted takeover at Bolton. Obviously not the best judge of character...

Still, at least you've got rid of Roland...
