If sacking him was even a remote possibility, how on earth has the chairman signed off on Taylors move from Northampton, are the owners fundamentally demented?

Grimsby fans who can't let go of non league and keep posting on here are a bit of a joke.
I know, he is like the unwanted guest at a wedding. Don't know why he still loiters as he has nothing constructive or positive to say about non league football clubs. But hey ho I guess the codheads will be back here in force next year anyway.

We shouldn't forget, too, that GTFC1979 stormed off this forum, returned under a new guise and was rumbled almost immediately. A strange poster.

Posters that know me should know I already post in most parts of the forum- I also still take a keen interest in non-league. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Interesting FACT - we were in for him, all looked good, and then £astleigh came in with three times the wages. Happened at least three times this summer that did.

Could someone just remind me what the vision is ........ seriously!

I'd imagine that "The Vision" is that a club with ambitious owners is willing to spend good money on the project of building up a football club, with the aim of establishing it in the football league and in the process increasing it's support, so that they end up as a viable football league club with the potential to grow further.

On a personal level, "The Vision" is two fold, although both increase your own long term security. One is the large pay packet you'll receive in the immediate term, the other is the future earnings you'll receive thanks to enhancing your CV in a job where the odds will be on your side as you'll have a distinct budget advantage over most of your rivals. Anyone who can claim to have won promotion as a manager virtually guarantees themselves future employment, regardless of how much they spent doing it.

I expect a job like that will be attractive to a lot of people.

Graham Westley would be my bet.

Hasn't exactly been a roaring success recently, has he?

Reckon one of the Hill's will get it.

Some Eastleigh fans mentioning Nigel Adkins and Chris Wilder. Either of those would be a massive coup.

Why would Chris Wilder leave a huge club in Sheff United to return to non league, besides Chris would not be influenced by the "vision" he likes to work on a small budget. And superbly I might add like he did with us,

Oxford link? Plus he might not be in a job much longer given Sheff U's start.

True about Sheff United`s start but still cant see him being interested in the slightest.
His last two clubs have been Oxford and Northampton. They most definitely didn't have small budgets.
Fair point about Northampton but are Oxford on a big budget?

Yip "The Vision" is pretty much as described above. Shouldnt every club have the same Vision as that. Or do you all want to be clubs on downward spirals and dwindling fan bases?

The only point that is incorrect in your post is, that wining the title does not guarantee the manager future employment.
Richard Hill is still out of work almost a year after leaving the club by mutual consent.

You're very confident. Shouldn't you be displaying humility after dropping from the Championship to Non-League wilderness in not many years.
Believe me when Mr Fish pops his clogs (or sooner) you'll be back.
Yes i am confident that we will not be back in non league, why is that not showing humility?
And i guess from your reply that your answer to my question about will you put your money where your mouth is, the answer is no, you won't!

I think if we get pasted again tomorrow, there's an outside chance of a silver medal for us in this. Realistically he probably gets at least 10 games, and we'd probably have to be in danger of relegation for it to actually happen.

Ronnie Moore takes it.

I think that's a bloody good addition, annoyingly.

For Fuchs sake.

Tranmere legend at Eastleigh.. Not sure he could lower himself any further. Struggling to bring myself to wish him well. Hopefully he has some kind of relative success and hands us 3 pts.

At least we've played them at PP already, so we won't have a debate about whether we'll clap or boo the fella. He's an alright manager, but not much more. How long before Ian Moore gets involved in some capacity?

Not quite the Nigel Adkins they were hoping for but a good appointment.

Think they'll do well, with the squad they have they should stroll into the play offs
