Some on the New Fishy pretty confident Askey's gone, with his post match interview not exactly dispelling the rumours.

Jamie Fullarton was absolutely horrific when he was in charge of Notts County. Probably the worst manager Notts County have ever had. Oh dear. Terrible appointment.

There’s no way Askey will leave Macclesfield now, in the position they are in. He’s been there for 57 years, he wouldn’t do that to them.

He’ll be “flattered” by the interest of course.

He’s gone, can’t say he hasn’t had a chance, totally out of his depth.

Wonder if this spells the beginning of new ownership, sack your man before we takeover, fingers crossed.

How about the silver fox repeats his feat from last season, in confirming a 2nd consecutive relegation for a former league club with financial problems?

We'll just hire Lance Stoe and SkyBluesRose to do that for us.

If the rumours are to be believed, the prospective new owners insisted on his sacking and are bringing in Paul Ince :2thumb:
And exactly what would Paul Ince know about the Conference ?

Still chance for Coxy to turn up at Hartlepool and potentially relegate three teams in a season!

Seems a odd sacking at pools with there dire financial state you would think they could not afford to pay off a manager and who on earth would go there unless a player or coach will be in charge until the end of the season to save on a wage. Maybe new owners lined up but surely they would be the ones sackin harrison once the takeover was signed and sealed. Even if a top manager for that level went there is there much he could do while they are under a transfer embargo

Did i call them that, no. Just saying its hard to get to, brackley has no train station. I think you are peed off your team have not made the football league yet. If halifax are so high amd mighty why dont they go pro to try and get promoted may work may not what is your criteris for a team to become tinpot

If he isn't back there in time for the start of next season I'll eat my hat, gloves and scarf.

Harrison has been cringeworthy in his desire to manage us and regularly pushed his case forward down the years sounding out local WPL journalists such as the above. I wouldn't be surprised if he also voted for himself in that poll too. Even the knobhead owner of TNS had a go at us when we wouldn't "take a chance" on Harrison. He's never been close to getting it and never will.

Dunno, I guess Tin Pot shit like Gateshead and Forest Green being allowed to artificially inflate the wages market with money they haven't had to earn having adverse knock on implications for teams that try to run themselves properly, may have something to do with it. Just a guess. :£:£:£:£:£:£

I'd say that's true of everyone except TNS, who are top-end National North standard, hence they keep winning the league easily.

I watch a lot of them and they are honestly nowhere near that level. Northern Prem possibly.

Ah! Losing to The Shaymen is so often the last straw. A clear case of "if we can't beat Halifax, who can we beat". Meanwhile the mighty Orient was Billy Heath's last straw. :fl:

If you're going to troll, at least try and do it in a timely fashion. Our home forum had comprehensively shot him down within 20 minutes of the announcement. :bdick:
