On 30th July myself and a couple of idiots are taking part in the Prudential RideLondon100 bike ride on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK. One of many cancer charities that recieves zero government yet affects 1000's of men each year and that number is rising.
Obvioulsy i don't know many of you from adam but thought it was worth making this shameless little plug as it might encourage just one of you to support this slightly overweight ashmatic approaching 40 doing something as ridiculous as riding 100miles on a bike to help a charity that one day could strike any one of us. I got a new cube last year and for the money you get a hell of a lot of bike. Undercutting specialized and cannondale by over £500 for exactly the same set up. Only change I'll make is the seat and will take the fi'zi:k seat off my winter bike

Just an update to this. I have been informed that it is possible to donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 by text, (for any other amount you'll need to give online)

Simply text RLNM79 + amount to 70070 i.e RLNM79 £2 (to 70070) if you wished to donate £2

Within 24 hours you'll receive confirmation by text to let you know the donation has been successful.
What's the cost of donating by text?
Every penny of your donation (including Gift Aid) goes to your charity. You may be charged for your text message, please refer to your network operator's standard rates.
Can I add Gift Aid, my name and a message to a text donation?
Yep, once you've sent your text we'll reply to confirm that we've received it. We'll also include a link to an online form. How can I get a refund for a text donation?

UPDATE: Well 24 hours later i am having one last call to anybody who can donate at least £1 towards my fundraising.

Yesterday was an amazing experience and all the hard work and training in the Yorkshire hills paid off as i crossed the line in just under 6hr 15min. The legs are feeling ok and i would recommend entering to anybody who cycles regular. I'll admit i had my doubts if i could complete my first century but knew that i had to as soon as the sponsorship money came in.

I have met my initial target of £800 so now want to see if i can break that £1000 mark. If just 75 of the forum members donated £2 then i would reach this, so If you can find a bit of change for this great charity then you can do by simply texting RLNM79 £1/£2/£5(etc) to 70070.
