Until SISU go, there will always be issues.

The council and Wasps have helped mess the club around.

There's a few scenarios which could happen by the end of the season.

1) Wasps back down and allow Coventry to rent for another season.
2)Sisu drop legal cases and Wasps allow a longer term deal (5 years?).
3)EFL allow Coventry to move outside of the city and we played at Nuneaton or somewhere else local (Northampton, Hinckley etc).
4)No deal is met and Coventry lose their place in the football league. An extra team gets promoted from each division to fill our space. We drop to the depths of English football.
5) SISU sell up. New owners get a long term deal at the Ricoh.

Realistically, 1 and 3 are the most likely. SISU won't drop the court cases. Wasps won't want to play their part in destroying the club. It ruins their image in the city. The EFL probably don't want Coventry to drop out the football league and I'm sure Nuneaton would allow us to ground share.

Does Nuneaton's ground meet EFL stadium criteria? Also will they be able to host Nuneaton, Rugby and Coventry. I have no idea so just curious

I don’t mean to be a bit of a prick on this, but when we had to reapply for our golden share back in the football league 11 years ago (and as a result got docked all those points), we had to guarantee that we had a lease on a stadium for 10 years.

I’m not saying that should be the case, but for consistency sake (ha what is consistency when it comes to the football authorities!)

No chance. They’ll just let whoever finishes 21st stop up. You guys need to step up a #NAPM campaign/protests and force SISU out.

Not one penny more failed for us. Will never work with SISU.

Still leaves League 2 one team short; and I don’t think the Conference would accept Coventry either, so there would be ramifications all the way down to the Northern League.

I don’t think it would come to that anyway.

23rd in League 2 would stay up, 21st in the NL etc. Much easier than mucking about with promotion playoffs in all the divisions.

What is SISU’s endgame?

That's the problem. No one knows. We've been protesting against them for nearly 10 years. They aren't going anywhere. They've lost 60 million with the club and they want every penny back.

No potential buyer has offered anywhere near that as the club is effectively worthless without a stadium.

Depends if they look for the money. Coventry could bring a bit of financial gain to the Non League.

Precedents have been set. The Conference have been very strict on this aspect since the Boston fiasco.

No. Its mainly all terracing. They have like 400 seats. You need at least 2000 seats for EFL.

I am pretty sure you don’t.
How many do Accrington have ? ( until the new stand was built )

According to wiki, they have 3,100 seats. 2,000 in the main stand and the new stand holds 1,100.

Besides that, surely temporary stands like we have seen at other grounds could be erected to get it to the required level.
And Nuneaton may fold anyway- so the ground will be vacant. Plus it’s only a bus ride away or a taxi.
If it comes to it, it seems the most viable option.

And having been there for an away game, totally unsetup for League football.

I didn’t mean that - I thought I read about a possible ground share ? They have one big stand I think.

It's shared with Coventry Rugby club. Has a capacity of about 4,000. Totally unfit for league football.

Shame, as it's the perfect location for a stadium.

Surely at this point it's worth taking anywhere in Coventry for a year rather than a double relegation?

SISU would love to play at the rugby stadium, it's the football league that wouldn't allow it. In and around the ground would be a nightmare to segregate and police.

Then the only other option is to go to someone further away to fulfil the fixtures this season. And then look at Nuneaton and put in temporary stands to get the capacity up to 6,000.

Less than 24 hours to go until we need to update the EFL.

Tim Fisher seems to have changed his stance and is looking at ground shares.

I do feel the general view on a groundshare would be different to the Sixfields shambles. Unlike previously, the blame isn't firmly on SISU and not everyone would boycott and follow the Not One Penny More Campaign. I would hope the fake franchise supporters who have been regulars at Wasps games would change their view.

It still wouldn't be popular, or course. With no chance of our own stadium being built, the club may as well die off.
