Issues relating to the database used to run Xenforo has caused the website to remain offline for the last 24 hours.

This has now been fully repaired and we don't anticipate any further related downtime.

After the security breach earlier in the week in which TractorBoys acquired all your bank details, passwords and nudes 1FF is delighted to announce that the downtime was spent selling your sensitive information to scam farms in Congo, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Thank you everyone for your patience and we will be spending all the extra money on new HD quality Muslim Singles adverts and a slick campaign to attract some much needed matched betting site sponsors.

Can I ask why it took so long? This forum was offline for a considerable time. If the admin are receiving advertising revenue, why did it take them so long to sort things out?

Because I run 4 businesses, two of them LTD companies, in addition to 1FF. I'm a big shot, but a busy one. I shall try and be quicker in future. :sur:

If the tables were wonky why didn't you stick a beer mat under a leg. Works in the pub.

...thinking about that has got me wondering if it would be possible to stick a metaphorical beer mat as a quick fix into a PHP table....?

Thinking about your reply has made me ponder whether you've been in the pub tonight?

On this occassion this required a fix via PHPMyAdmin, as some tables were corrupt and had to be rebuilt. It's not something that could be fixed by the admin panel, sadly.

There is a point to be made there though. Perhaps this needed you and no one else. But there are other things that have happened in the past which Mark and Saddler could step in and sort out if they had the correct access.

After the Nintendo stuff, you were all meant to sit down and work together more but it still seems like when something goes wrong that they’re powerless because you haven’t communicated with them in months.

There is that outlook, that perhaps you can all engage in real life during the brief periods we experience downtime. Tbf, not deliberately blowing our own trumpet here, but we've been pretty much rock steady for months other than this week.
