Wise move or a rash decision...

Fulham will be hoping Ranieri can produce some of the impact he had at Leicester...

Jokanovic's team always start slowly. I think he would have turned it around but their summer signings have been woeful. Signing 12 or so players is never going to work and Ranieri will have the same problems.

If they do go down then they could do with Jokanovic to get them back up.

I will miss the way he furrowed his brow at post-match interviews..

This is a good point. I don't think Ranieri dramatically increases Fulham's chances of staying up, over and above what Jokanovic could potentially have moulded that squad into as the season went on. But ditching Jokanovic for Ranieri does dramatically hurt their chances of coming straight back up again. should the worst happen and they get relegated.

And I bet Jokanovic will soon find his way into a Championship job. As a free agent with two Champ promotions on his CV, there will be clubs who fall short of their expected promotion challenges this season, lining up to talk to him in the winter/spring.

Fulham spent £119,000,000 in the summer... £119 million, let that sink in for a minute.

On paper they look to have a decent 'midtable' squad, but for one reason or another it hasn't worked out so far. I'm still on the fence about hiring Ranieri but if it doesn't work out, Fulham could be in serious financial trouble in the next few years.

Defence isn't the problem imo. The problem is they signed very few attacking-minded players and they haven't worked. Mitrovic, Schürrle or Vietto have been woeful and can't be trusted to score goals. Simple as. The change of manager is not going to change anything. They need to sign quality firepower in January if they want to stay up.
