Well we’ve smashed League One once again and we’re back for another crack at that thing they call the Championship. This time with a far better manager. Last time we beat Man City and won L1 in the same season, we got to the Prem two years later. So beware!

You beat man city quite regularly it's the norm whatever league you are In. You've not won it yet either, well I hope not as I need Blackburn to win it for £700 on a bet. Us and wall have challenged top 6 so no reason you can't do in the big bad championship.

I pray that you've written that while pissed; you didn't smash this league last time, you haven't done it this time, and your manager is a massive bellend

In answer to the OP's question, no, but well done on scraping your way out of the pub league at the first attempt.
To be fair, I've seen you on the tele a couple of times this season and you played some nice stuff.
Welcome back.

Long time no speak. Hope you and all the other Bristol lot on here are well mate. And yes I can confirm it is still very much a pub league.

Thanks SMH, I think we're all well although a tad fed up at our pathetic form since Xmas.
I do think there's a fair step up between L1 and the Championship but Millwall and the Blades seem to have disproven that. You're a welcome addition to this division.
Do us a favour, make sure you rub the north Bristol methane snorters noses in it when you play them please? They've got ideas above their station and need a dose of reality. ;)

Romped the league as well, Caldwell's side limped over the line ahead of Burton and Walsall, rather than Blackburn...

Cook's sides have a similar playing style to Dean Smith, they'll survive comfortably with a couple of additions.

And will also jump ship as soon as a bigger club comes calling

Well Wigan are no where near bigger than pompey so that's a load of shite too.

You're right, but do you think Wilder/Johnson would go to West Brom for example?

Depends how much more money was on offer, I'd like to think not but you can't deny a man doubling his wage. Unless we get a chairman who has money there ain't much more wilder can do with us tbf.

Cook “isn’t much better” than those two idiots? He beat the champions of England with David Perkins in central midfield. Give me strength, the man is good and I wouldn’t be surprised if he manages in the Prem one day. I bet Burnley will be keeping a close eye on us next season.

He's English, no chance of a good prem job

Need to have a ruthless summer to compete at this level imo, the likes of Jacobs, Grigg & Power won't get them anywhere in this league. Cook is a good manager in League One but I don't see Wigan scoring many as it stands.

Looking at their attacking players: Grigg scored 5 last time he was up here, Jacobs scored 3 in 46 games & Vaughan bagged 2 in 23 for Sunderland. They will need to pin a lot of hope on Nick Powell I think.

One thing that always surprises me in League One, is how easy it is to score from set pieces. Huntington hit double figures when we were promoted, Mulgrew has scored loads for Blackburn and Dunkley & Burn have 13 for Wigan. They won't hit those numbers up here.
