You're right. I have ballsed that up. Didn't read it back. But still, like I said you can pick particular time frames to suit your argument. In a debate on which is stronger you've gone back 22 years. Why? If you'd gone one further there'd have been another English team for th Prem list. Equally you could have just gone back to 03/04 to still get 5 English sides, and 1 less Spanish. You seem to have deliberately chosen a stretch of time that allows for the longest spell of 5 prem winners before hitting number 6. Why bother? Or is that mere coincidence?
It wasn't me that posted that, just to be clear. La Liga is the league that I enjoy watching most (followed by the A League so quality isn't exactly a concern for me) but I wouldn't try to claim it's the best league in the world, that all comes down to personal preference and what the individual wants to see, I enjoy watching attacking teams go at it hence why I enjoy these 2 leagues in particular.
You're right with what you say, anybody can cherry pick facts and figures to suit an argument.
I wonder if Wenger will go there? Could be interesting if he does. He is always described as the type of manager who just allows players to express themselves on the pitch without much interference which may suit them. The Madrid players famously disliked Rafa trying to actually coach them.
