Winter break is a good idea though I hope they still have games at Xmas and New Year. Not sure on the bonus points stuff though, seems like a gimmick. I suppose they are trying stuff to help the league stand out more.

£8 mill for four seasons from BT, Villa and Newcastle will get £60 mill to get relegated this year!

Well there were a few matches called off last weekend due to the weather so when is an ideal time?

It tends to be in January when we get the harshest weather so it may be sometime then though as you said with cancellations there could be a clog up of games to get through, just need to do some midweek which shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Move the league to a complete summer season? I've seen it mentioned before as a solution to the weather and to gain more access to TV rights by not directly competing with the Premier League.

Winter break wouldn't be possible in the lower leagues IMO. We get games called off from November-March. When do you implement this break and it also means more Tuesday night travelling. Because we don't do enough, already had 7 away night games this season compared to 1 at home.

Instead of 38 games, Premiership and Championship could need only 32 games if league break-up after 22 home and away games in to a Winners Group and a Losers Group with 6 clubs each, playing 10 more games home and away.

With only 32 games per season will give more time to League Cup, Scottish Cup, winter break and less games during mid-week.

Why not a SPFL with only 24 clubs (2 levels), Premiership and Championship with 12 clubs each?
And a National Football League with 80 clubs (2 levels)?

Scottish League System with this suggestions:

Note: No direct link between SPFL and NFL.
Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). 24 clubs. Promotion to Premiership: 2 Clubs. Relegation to Championship: 2 clubs.
Level 1- Premiership. 12 clubs playing 32 games.
Level 2- Championship. 12 clubs playing 32 games.
National Football League (NFL). 80 clubs. Promotion to NFL One: 4 Clubs. Relegation to NFL Two: 4 clubs.
Level 3- National Football League One. 16 Clubs playing 30 games.
Level 4- National Football League Two: 64 Clubs. 4 Conferences with 16 clubs each: Highland, Lowland, East and West. Playoffs.

League Cup: 24 Clubs. 8 groups with 3 clubs each. 4 games. R16-R8-R4-R2.
Scottish Cup: 104 Clubs (1-4). R80 (NFL) - R64 (40 NFL+24 SPFL)-R32-R16-R8-R4-R2.

SPFL Eligibility:
- Stadium Capacity >5.000 places (all-seated)
- Urban area > 25.000 inhabitants.

This will exclude some small town clubs from SPFL.
