We haven't signed anyone since the end of the season. All these players were on 2-year deals. Passley had his deal extended on 21st April.

Kinnear appears to want to keep all the other players we had [except loan players] probably because he hasn't got time find better players with his day job.
Expect loads & loads & loads of trailists.

Expecting a new manager and a raft of signings in the next few days. I'd say that the next 2 or 3 players we sign will be the biggest indication of where we are at in terms of budget and ambition.

Also offered contracts to Moussa Diarra and Donovan Makoma, but can see them both leaving to more southern clubs, or back to France.

Billy has said he wants a squad of 18 so i expect another 3 incomings. Hopefully another centre half and a striker/winger

Pretty pleased at where we stand at the moment. Think we are in a much better place than we have been at this point in the last couple of years. Have some genuine ambition to achieve something I think. I think the decision to close the youth academy and run a development team is a good move too.

From reading Gannon's latest Squad Update I think we're pretty much there with our squad. I'd expect at least one more defender and maybe another attacker depending on whether Smalley and/or Oswell stay or go.

I think we're in the market for three new players. Imo we would need a left back, central midfielder and two centre forwards to push for the play offs next season. Caprice and Scales are both not good enough (I would also throw in David Mooney and Matt Harrold look to have lost their legs). Boco's unlucky in that he plays just behind the forward, but we play a 4-4-2 so he's redundant.

Grainger started last season as first choice 'keeper, I don't think he's good enough to play long term if Brill gets injured. Sargeant has such bad positioning, but we've just given him a two year contract. Sotiriou has come through the youth team and has been given a pro deal this season, don't expect him to contribute too much.

Strongest positions are the wings, I'm more than happy with Dayton, Brophy, Koroma (can also play up top) and McAnuff, although a Dayton/ McAnuff combo lacks real pace to stretch the defence.

Dayle Southwell now added due to his signing from guiseley. Scott Garner taken away due to his departure to guiseley in what I believe to be a straight swap deal with Southwell.

Agreed - It should be a busy 6 weeks ahead.

I've seen the usual moaning about not doing, or announcing business early. If we wait to sign a Lee Cook or Sam Togwell rather than go early and bag a Gavin Mahon, then that'll do for me.

A Final Update for ours, we're so well prepared and ready we've even done our squad numbers which I've also included:

Goalkeepers
1. Dean Brill
12. Charlie Grainger
24. Sam Sargeant

Defenders
2. Sam Ling
3. Joe Widdowson
5. George Elokobi
6. Josh Coulson
14. Myles Judd
15. Dan Happe
21. Marvin Ekpiteta

Midfielders
7. Jobi McAnuff
4. Alex Lawless
8. Craig Clay
11. James Dayton
16. James Brophy
17. Dale Gorman
19. Josh Koroma
22. Charlie Lee

Forwards
9. Macauley Bonne
10. David Mooney
18. Matt Harrold
20. Ruel Sotiriou
27. James Alabi

Our squad reports back for training tomorrow and we've completed our squad for the coming season. We already had around 22 players under contract anyway and we only needed one central midfielder and one striker to sign.

That squad should be challenging for the top 7 IMO. There is enough of a mix of youth and experience and squad depth there to do so. We're strong in the wide positions IMO.

For me we still lack a bit of bite in midfield, Alex Lawless is very meh and Charlie Lee spent all of last season out with an ACL injury, so who knows what he will come back like.

Up front is a bit of lottery, Bonne is a good player for this level as we all know after 25 goals last season, so keeping him is key. Mooney was fucking shite last season but still found 6 goals and won us some points early on.

James Alabi has to wake himself up to try and rediscover his Chester form after being shite all of last season.

Finally we have Matt Harrold who I personally don't think is that bad at this level, he has his uses up front and when defending with his height, but he is soon to be 35 and just keeps getting injured all the time and has to come off after around 65mins as age has caught up with him, he is currently out till September (allegedly!) so we may still bring in a loan striker. The worst decision Ling made last summer was giving him a two year deal, because its meant we can't get someone younger and better in who would've seen us gone from playoff contenders to maybe something a bit more.

Charlee Adams

Jack Taylor
Dan Sweeney

Strikers

If Akinde goes we will look to move to bring in another striker. We also tried to sign a player but the club would only loan for a season, but we may go back and see if we can get a deal done. Not sure if the two are linked.

Think that's pretty much us done baring maybe a young keeper to sit on the bench and possibly a defensive midfielder. Though that may depend on getting rid of Caton and I don't have much hope of that happening. All in all I think we've strengthened and we'll definitely carry a goal threat next season. We need Jonny Burn to step up and fill Josh Heatons boots after he got a transfer to the SPL. Looking forward to the season ahead and think we have a good chance of making the top 7.

Dulwich Hamlet
Dulwich Hamlet still have only twelve players publicly confirmed for the coming season, so I guess more will be revealed when we see who appears for the first pre-season match at Walthamstow tomorrow. Looks like we're so short of numbers we're signing up supporters!

Dulwich Hamlet’s new signing has been a regular at their games before making switch to National South outfit – South London News

If four of the seven unconfirmed players rejoin, and we get the three new signings Gavin refers to in the linked article that takes us up to a squad of 19, which is the same number we had when last season began.

Confirmed retentions and signings:
Dipo Akinyemi
Ashley Carew
Michael Chambers
Nyren Clunis
Anthony Cook (from Ebbsfleet United)
Preston Edwards
Nathan Ferguson
Nathan Green
Byron Lawrence (from Billericay Town)
Sanchez Ming
Michael Onovwigun
Quade Taylor

Unconfirmed from last season:
Tanasheh Abrahams
Dumebi Dumaka
Caio Guimaraes
Ibrahim Kargbo
Mohomed Mohomed
Amadou Tangara
Gavin Tomlin

Departures:
Anthony Acheampong (Welling United)
Reise Allassani (Coventry City)
Kenny Beaney (Merstham)
Nana Boakye-Yiadom (Concord Rangers)
Muhammadu Faal (Kingstonian)
Rickie Hayles (Billericay Town)

Add to the mix Lee Molyneaux at left-back, who has apparently signed.

Still potentially no goalkeepers for the start of the season, all good in defence now, and lacking a winger and two central midfielders.

Looks most like a 4-3-3 from the first friendlies.

Based of that squad I can see you really struggling and possibly relegated. Defence looks fairly weak, keeper doesn’t look great and up front I don’t see a real goalscorer except maybe Blyth but don’t think he’s ever been a 20 a season striker. Taylor, Jones, Brown, Bartham and Rooney are all decent players but other than that I don’t see a team that can mount an escape

Short on wingers, forwards and Defensive cover. Both keepers are currently injured too

Add a few youth to that maybe but nobody that looks like they can make much of a impact, had 4/5 trialist's last night too

I agree that staying up looks like the aim, though I think the squad is better than most people would expect - a few players are real unknowns but seem decent.

Josh Kay looks talented, and I have seen enough from Waterston (a local lad) to know that he could eventually make the step up to the league. Hindle seems a good combative striker, and there has been a lot of praise from Evatt for Granite, who has signed from Ashton.

I think we'll be better than four other teams, but not expecting too much.

I agree with the fact there are probably four teams worse than you. However regarding Kay, he’s talented but has very little knowledge of the game, doesn’t put his head up and is quite greedy and had a real attitude problem at Chesterfield. Glad we didn’t sign him because we offered him a contract
