They reminded me me very much of the Stevenage team of few years ago under Westley

With one key difference... they were far less effective than under Westley.

Tactics were the same and did all the play acting, time wasting and even the team talk half way through the halves but were much weaker defensively and as soon as they sat back and we got the first it seemed inevitable we would get the second despite our toothless attack.

Main issue with Stevenage and why he has gone though is their relegation form of the past few months. Had they not had a quick start they’d be deep in trouble.

Disappointed for Sarll but think it's the right the decision. Given we weren't in any immediate danger of the drop I might have been tempted to give him until the end of the season, just in case he could have arrested the poor form. In truth we've not played well for about a year so a turnaround was incredibly unlikely.

I'd have loved to see it work for him at the club, he promoted youth, being a former youth coach that's no surprise, and he seemed to genuinely care for the club. Rewind the clock back 1 year and we'd just beaten Portsmouth 3-0, there was talk of a potential push for the automatic places and the play-offs looked an absolute shoe-in, some of the football being played was fantastic, unfortunately Godden got injured and our form just collapsed, we missed out on the play-offs and bar an spell early this season we've never recovered.

Just 4 wins in 23, playing poor football, watching the same mistakes being made week after week, a seeming inability to change anything from the bench, we concede a goal and the players heads drop, all in all, I have to say we've made the right call.

Dino Maamria the early favourite, always seems to do a half decent job when he's been given a chance by clubs in non-league but never seems to last too long. Not sure whether it'd be a good move or not, every time we have a vacancy there seems to be a clamoring for someone linked to our promotion winning side, be it Westley, Maamria, John Dreyer, Mark Roberts, I even saw a suggestion on Borochat the other week saying we should get Bostwick back to undertake a coaching role! Other names in the betting are just a who's who of managers recently sacked elsewhere.

Dino Maamria favourite. Will be a massive blow to Nuneaton if they were to lose him. If you could appoint him before Good Friday that would be much appreciated.

what is Russel Slade doing atm.
I wouldn't wish him on anyone but I bet he gets an interview, he has ruined his two most recent clubs, us and the Cods. We wouldn't have got relegated last season if we didn't have that clown in charge, he had a win rate of 5%

Maamria coming in wouldn't exactly be an appointment Stevenage fans would want if they want to play good football, right? Knowing his touchline antics under Westley.

Maamria is the biggest moron i've ever seen involved with football which takes some effort.

He should be working the doors on seedy nightclubs.
