We kick things off live on Sky tonight. These initial set of games before the first international break always seem hard to call purely because you don't know how teams have got on over the summer until they're tested at this level.

Sunderland seem to be in a world of shite at the mo and they're unbeaten in 10 against us so there's two pretty good reasons why we'll probably lose. I'm hopeful though, new season, new hope and all that crap. Down the pub for me in a sec, hopefully the locals won't have rock throwing on or whatever else they do for entertainment up here.

Come on the Rams.

Fancy Derby in this one, Sunderland are a mess and their summer recruitment has hardly been inspiring. Derby have lost a couple of key players but have also recruited quite well. 0-2 Derby.

Will watch this now, too. Championship Football at last.
Hope my "dormant" Kodi will show me a good stream and hopefully the Rams won't get eaten (but they have a new shirt sponsor so this won't happen) and get at least a draw.

It's seven years since Sunderland won a league game in August. That surely has to be broken this season. Hope not though!

Sunderland played well, but unlucky not to win there definitely promising signs from them. Derby were solid and had their chances too, good point for them.

James Vaughan and Lewis Grabban looked surprisingly half-decent to be fair.

I think he has been injured for more of his career than fit!

I remember he was the "next Rooney" at Everton all those years ago.

Because strikers never miss eh..

The game was pretty average, hopefully much more to come from us. Still need a winger or two. Maybe a centre mid and ship one of Johnson/Butterfield out.

What Tom said. Not even 15 goals per year in the last three seasons.

Camel.

Stupid stat, 3 of those players had a season in the Premier League in the last 3 years.

Not really, ignore the other players in that list. 43 goals over three years is pretty fucking decent tbh.

Or we could just ignore the facts and say he's shite, fits most modern day arguments so why not this one too.

For what it's worth, I don't think he's shit but I don't think he's particularly good either. Can't argue with that goal return though.

Chris Martin has proved for a few years he is one of the best strikers in the league. The majority of teams down here would give their left bollock to have him in their team.
