Tough one for the Stags but I feel with Byrom returning from injury we should pocket three points on Saturday.

Let’s hope that cheating b***ard Reid doesn’t dive and win a 97th penalty like last season.

Never even dived:lol:

Fear not Mansfield fans, Reid and the team as a whole seem to have gone completely off the boil and we're struggling to score goals. Mansfield haven't had a particularly good start to the season but I'm already resigned to a humbling defeat. 3-0 Mansfield.

I fear my fellow Grecian may be right. We are failing to create and always likely to concede.
But the youngsters did well in midweek and he may bring in the likes of Macca or Wilson. I will go for a rot stopping 1-1.

Our home record is exactly the same as Grecian's away record (4-2-1). Got to agree with Denzel's 1-1.

It's about time we turned up and played football.
About time we won
About time that Hemmings got dropped - he's shit - and Angol started.
About time that Mellis starts playing and Butcher is dropped.
About time that we need Byrom back to pull the strings in midfield again.

I've an Exeter double this weekend - off to watch Sale Vs Exeter tonight in Manchester before coming over tomorrow morning. Will be all Exetered out by the end of the weekend!

Exeter like to play football right? Hope we get Byrom and Mellis back in midfield and play tomorrrow.

3-2 either way.

I think SE has stated that Byrom is not ready for a league game yet, although it wouldn't surprise me if this was mind-games. Personally, I wouldn't mind Hemmings starting now that he has broke his duck with a goal recently. It may give him the confidence he was lacking.

Mansfield seem to be underachieving (so far) when you compare it to how much they invested in their playing squad this year. They went a bit 'all in' for promotion and I'd have thought they'd be expecting to be minimum top 3. What would Stags fans put it down to?

Not sure Evans has worked out what his best team is yet. He chops and changes too much from game to game. I'm not worried yet despite the underwhelming start, Hopefully we can build on last weeks point away at Newport with 3 tomorrow.

The performances have been poor to date, and to only be on 21 points is completely unacceptable with the games we've played.

There is plenty of time to go, and I believe we will come good soon - but as RC said, SE needs to find his correct and preferred team.

The performance was very impressive in the Nottinghamshire derby against us.

Shock.
Horror.

Must admit I thought Stags would be a lot higher in the league with a healthier points total to date but as the season goes on they will go from strength to strength , sadly

Mid table Mansfield face promotion chasing Exeter.

Bottom half club Mansfield face top half club Exeter.

Pre-season bookies' favourites 13th placed Mansfield face last season's losing play-off finalists Exeter.

Never confident about playing Exeter but anything other than a win today is not good enough.

Cannot believe we didn't win that. Absolutely battered them all game and they looked shell-shocked at times. Should have been about 6-0. Great performance overall but just didn't finish well. Even Logan (GK) nearly scored FFS! Play like that every week and we will be promoted. Unfortunately, I don't think that will be the case.

Didn't follow the game but recapping from what others have said it sounded, for the most part, another poor performance. It sounded like we could have won it right at the end from debutant, Jordan Storey with his 1st touch but I would have taken a point before the game so I'm not complaining.

Evans ought to be under serious pressure, anyone else would be.

I thank you. We sounded poor though, just nice to have a bit of belief back.

Steve Evans is such a parody:lol: sounds as if he made a tit out of himself again at full time. His post match interview is almost identical to the one following last seasons fixture:lol:

Basically it was a problem we created ourselves.

We were so ridiculously dominant for 85 minutes of the game it was unreal, but in that moment we scored 1 goal. Exeter do what Exeter do, hang in there (tje defender with the affro was bloody brilliant) and get lucky. They scored with their only real attack and well, at the end it reads 1-1.

No Mansfield fans have a problem with Exeter getting lucky (again) when playing us, it was our own fault - if we'd have won 4-0 today it would have been fair. Evans again is hitting out as he's again failed to win.

Sounds like we completely robbed Mansfield there.

Ordinarily I would feel a bit embarrassed but then I remember they’re managed by Steve Evans so it’s just funny.

Seriously though, we have been poo for a few weeks and Mansfield were on top all of the game. But, to get a point from that game is pleasing and we need to get our mojo back ASAP.

It was our fault we drew, not yours. Typical Mansfield, we've taken sides to the cleaners before this season, not scored the killer goal and paid the price. With respect we battered you, but a proper definition of a battering would be 4 or 5-0 and we left the door open.

It was annoying but you took the chance when you got it and we again paid the price.

I'm getting bored of SE excuses, 5 wins from 16 with this budget should be bordering sackable territory

Every club has their thugs. Ours just happens to be our manager.
