America could have a new HW world champion tonight.

Can't pick em. Stiverne is stationary but accurate, Wilder has doubts over his whiskers. Could go either way.

Did you watch it Abe? I didn't. Did Wilder silence a few doubters by going 12? Bit of a shut out too, looking at the cards.

Yeah, watched it whilst eating my Shreddies.

Both were tentative early on with Wilder looking for the odd bomb. Wilder landed flush a few times but Stiverne sucked it up with relative ease. Wilder then used his reach whilst Stiverne struggled to get close and do anything before flagging late on. Pretty boring affair in all honesty.

I reckon Fury does him late on but Klit would destroy him.

Froch has just hinted on Twitter that he could be retiring.

Bit of a shame if true, I still feel as though he's got another fight or two left in him. I'm not sure what his obsession is with the Chavez fight either.

Bit of an odd one that. Sure I saw just the other day that the chavez fight was pretty much sorted?

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he's just teasing and the fight is announced tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Kell Brook's first title defence has been put back from Monday to Thursday.

Some good sources indicated the Chavez fight was off the table.

Some cool fights on sat. Channel 5 will be showing GGG V Murray. Whilst being tough as nails it's hard to see anything other than GGG ripping shit up. Hughie Fury is on the same bill in his toughest fight yet, will be intriguing to see how he fares against Rudenko.

On SKy is the rematch between Abraham v Smith, it was a bit of a robbery last time out but you'd have to imagine Abraham will be better this time round. David Price is on the bill too against some Brazilian that Joseph Parker put away in 4, gotta be hoping to put on a show and put his name back into contention. Josh Warrington is on too, albeit against some bum.

I'm not as hyped for this fight as I would have been a few years ago when both fighters had more zip and intensity, but I'll definitely still watch it. Mayweather dismantles him for me

Can't bring myself to be too excited at the moment. This should have happened about 7 years ago.

A few years ago it would've been a close fight, that's the difference. Floyd will win easily.

Define Mayweather easily? Points like pretty much every other fight he has won recently?

Still buzzed for the fight even if I feel Mayweather will win on points. Everyone will point out that it should have happened not long after the Mayweather vs. De La Hoya fight in 2007 but both Mayweather and Pacquiao are still the #1 and #2 rated pound for pound boxers in the world. I just can't see Pacquiao keeping up with Mayweather's jab and move but we'll see.

Yeah, UD. A few years ago when the talk started I was firmly behind the 'Pac troubles him 4/5 times but Floyd wins by split' - now I just think Pac's declined too much and Floyd is too smart, good at counter-punching and keeping distance.

It's too late but come on, we are all still buzzing to see it. I'm sure most of us would like to see Pacquiao knock his block off, but it's gonna be Floyd over 12 rounds.

Pac is still the toughest fight out there for Mayweather. If there is one guy capable of doing him, it's Pac.

Can't wait to watch GGG later. A genuine boxing superstar available to watch on terrestrial TV for once.

Price calls out Fury, I don't think Price would get anywhere near him at the moment. One for the future if Price can go on a run.

SO much pressure all the time. It must be horrible being in the ring with this guy. props to Murray though for hanging around, he's one tough SOB

Credit to Murray for hanging on in the face of relentless punching, but let's be honest GGG should have got him out of there long before that. Murray saved by the bell a few times.

I'd like to see GGG step up to 168, I think he'd get caught out. He's there to be hit. Ward would beat him with ring savvy and skill, Froch with power and toughness. I'd also like to see him against Cotto and Canelo, I think he'd probably win those, but they'd be great fights

I don't think Cotto would beat him and that's the only real fight on the table. And I don't think he needs to go anywhere near Carl Froch to cement a legacy.

i don't think Cotto would last as long as Murray in there. His face would be messed up after 4 rounds. BUT he does have that bit of power that might just jolt GGG now and then
