Stephen Dawson now confirmed ... you could say finally replacing Stephen Dawson! It still pisses me off when I think back to his performances and attitude in his last few months with us ... lets hope we see more of the Dawson we had in his first season here.

Several good posts here Howard. Worth pointing out re the signings, on top of the three strikers released we have also offloaded Etuhu, Soares and Mellis with the potential for Danns, Pope and Williams to be offloaded as well. Six players probably earning good money signed by the joke of an ex manager.
Re Beckford his record at league one level speaks for itself. Also whilst he did not bag many goals last season look at Vaughan's recent form before moving to us and Clarke's for that matter, has the makings of a good signing.

PS to Burbery what has Spee done to annoy you?

Don't worry about Beckford scoring goals, worry about him getting on the pitch.

He's started 8 games in 2 years, the man is haggard.

Still love him though.

Joe Skarz returns and some defender from Southend arrives, whilst blundering Barnett departs.

I also note, with disappointment, the absence of Radcliffe from the pre season schedule. Flitcrofts legacy?

So Shakers who is Flicker gonna take from us to Swindon? Brass for sure for me. Players he will try n get? Leon Clarke, Etuhu, Tuttle, Hussey, Soares, Jones, Brown, probably have a transfer kitty and a good budget. Fancy play offs minimum for me.

They will have a good start, play superb football and then his ego will fuck things up.
Exactly what the Barnsley fans said would (and did) happen when he came to Gigg.
IF he has somebody (certainly not Futch) to stop him being so fricking stupid, he could do very well.

Hopefully on the playing side we will see the disappearance on his remaining flops. Is there still a place for Brass here? Would he follow Flitcroft given the way he was punted upstairs here?

Swindon have stated they have a good budget and expect to be challenging at the top end of the table. How long before Fattio makes ludicrous statements about Swindon having a bottom 2 budget and mid table being a remarkable achievement?

Have you seen Flitcroft's recent comments on his time at Bury?

Being linked with Etuhu. Absolutely no idea about him. Obviously expect him to get slagged from Bury fans.

No. Has he declared himself a massive success and claimed to have kept us up against the odds? Has he claimed he was judged on 3 weeks of failure despite three years of unprecedented success?

Love all these wannabe managers on the Bury forum. All picking the team. You might as well leave Vaughan out as he's as good as gone. We won't see him in a Bury shirt. 4 5 1 is my prediction for the formation. We have good players already from last season. Most will be in the side. New players will av to earn there shirts. A good balanced squad has been assembled. Still feel 2/3 more be gone in the window.

You ain't far off.
He claims we were heading out the league when he arrived and he kept us up easily. Well we were in fact 16th when he arrived. By the end of March after he spent a bomb of cash we'd dropped to 22nd, only by April were we safe. That isn't staying up easily.

He claims that he kept us up in league one with a record points total.
A complete and utter fantasy, here he is once more heralding 16th in league one as a massive success. He leaves out the big budget, the mass injuries, the away form. Then lest we forget the fact that it wasn't a record points total. In fact Preece and Barker finished higher up the table with more points despite a fraction of Flitcroft's budget. I am going to assume he forgot all about 1996/97.

My personal favourite, he says he was sacked despite being just five points off the playoffs.
The reality was it was November not March. Had it been March the point holds. However we were in fact 11 points off the playoffs, we'd just lost something like ten straight games, we'd gone out the cup to Wimbledon 5-0. We'd capitulated in every derby game we'd played including the long anticipated Bolton game. We'd shipped in 18 goals in ten games, lots of players were injured and suspended. All of this was achieved with record breaking losses.

Reports of a six figure bid accepted for Danny Graham. Don't know much about him, other than I recognise the name. Presumably a replacement for Vaughn?
Meanwhile our signing from the right side of the Irish border says his gut told him to sign for Bury. Presumably he is a fan of black pudding on his Ulster fry?

31 years old scored 12 in 28 for a shit Blackburn side but hasn't really don't anything since he left Swansea. Would rather we went back for Leon Clarke.
