Players wise you are correct, but in regards to off field issues, no where near as bad as Bury, the club still own the car parks, stadium, training ground and other assets. The issue for the hold up is that there are two administrators, one for the club and one for the Hotel, thhe people buying the Club also want the hotel, and this is where the delay is
All banter aside Muzzle, hope you pull through.
We can go back to "hating" each other soon with a huge slice of luck.

Yes we are in a much bigger mess as we still have an owner that doesnt give a shit about us.
I must ask why does the sale of the hotel stop them from running the club correctly if they have already bought that side of the club? I thought everything was signed off?

What is this about Bassini still trying to get involved with Bolton or Bury!?

Surely the Football League should just ban him?

Two seperate administrators mate, so it is complicating the issue a bit

Unless i have missed it elsewhere, Sky Sports choice of game for Sunday 8th September is interesting to say the least.

May see for the first time since the 1960's Bury and Bolton fans at peace.
Talk of a joint anti-EFL protest.

Why is the condition of Gigg Lane suddenly the issue? Has it fallen into disrepair over the last few months because Bury can't afford to maintain it or something?

If only there were a Bury born-and-bred multiple Premier League winner and former England international who had the money and connections to invest in a club that sorely needs it. I suppose even if there were such a person, he'd not want to go the lengths of actually owning a football league club, ah well.

I would say our problems run a tad deeper than just closing a stand
So is the safety certificate the real reason the EFL have served you notice of expulsion?

Just seems a bit random that a club with well documented financial issues who have entered a CVA and been deducted points should suddenly be expelled from the league because their ground failed a safety check.

It's almost like the EFL would rather the reason you were kicked out was because of the ground and nothing at all to do with the actions of an owner who passed their fit and proper persons check.

The reason is proof of funding
The EFL have been waiting since grizzly took over for the proof and "relaxed" the fit and proper person test as long as proof was provided in 14 days, that was in January!!
Grizzly pays nowt to anybody and has sacked the head of maintenance and spent nowt on the ground (which is falling apart to start with)

It gets even murkier the Merdico debt (ex chairs co went bust owing 60,000,000, appears to have been purchased by RCR Holdings Ltd.
Links to yet another lender and strangely the Masons lodges around Manchester.
I have no idea if this is positive or not, in fact, I'm so confused my head is spinning.

I expect even if the match is suspended, that's all it is - suspended - i.e. it just gives Bury more time and the match will be re-arranged at a later date when (if) Bury's affairs are sorted out.

Tell that to the Coventry, Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland and numerous other clubs that bring big numbers and see us as one of their highlights of the season as we give big allocations due to having so much space in the stadium.

Don't bite mate, it's not worth it. Bury are drowning is a sea of self induced financial meltdown but their supporters still find time to have a go at us. If that rocks their boat let them carry on.

MK is an attractive away day because of the sizeable allocation, not because visiting supporters have a particular interest in visiting the town/have any affinity to the club.

Decent results on the pitch at least anyway yesterday. Will we survive … who knows, it seems Grizzly is intent on remaining in charge despite there apparently still been interest of a purchase (with the support of one of the two towns MPs). Quite why he is doing this is a mystery to me … he has no interest in football so he must think he has figured out a way of making some money out of us.

It seems that Burgoyne has agreed to join on a season loan, he comes with a high reputation and can certainly expect to be busy in his spell with us. He will be key if we are to have any competitiveness this season. My biggest on pitch fear seems to be the reliance on Anthony Kay as a centre half, he wasn't good enough in that role 3 years ago, I struggle to see that situation changing. Archers form in pre season has been promising but the step into League 1 is a big one for a lad who didn't exactly set the world alight out on loan in the Conference North last season.

How many players do you actually have registered given that the new season is meant to start in 6 days?

Any idea whether this "missing information" has been delivered to the EFL ahead of midday tommorow (you'd like to think somebody in the Bury office realises the urgency of this)?

Their website has 12 listed, that includes Skarz though who is on trial at Gillingham where the local press have described him as a former Bury player. Not sure how many others of that 12 contracted players aren't currently with the squad.
