It’s not a dig but even in your relegation season it was clear you were signing players (and a lot of them) on wages others couldn’t compete with. The difference that year was it all went wrong on the pitch too.

We can confirm that today we have received an offer for the sale of Bury Football Club, one that we all at the Club believe is a very good offer.

This offer has been conveyed to Steve Dale and we are still waiting to hear from him.

This offer is the only lifeline for the future of the Club and we implore Steve Dale to accept it, as it has the full backing of all of the senior staff at Bury FC.

The above is a statement on the official Bury FC website.

The EFL have given a 0900 deadline tomorrow before a decision is made on the Gillingham game.

Wow, if that's on the OS, then surely, either Dale is aware of it and just fucking with you all or someone within the club is being brave and working outside of Dale.

The latter I'd suggest. But then again when the club is about to get kicked out of the league perhaps the staff member felt there was nothing left to lose.

British consortium, apparently not Bassini.

Will Dale accept? He’d have to have balls of steel to go through with his plan now, but if that’s his end game, to liquidate, then what can we do.

Despite what I said previously, I hope you do find a buyer and get out of the mess. I take it Gigg Lane is certain to be lost if you are liquidated ?

Why are people expecting football fans to be respectful and aware of certain situations. Fans care about winning and thats it. Thats why football is the way it is and it's going to get much worse.

I missed the last one as I couldn't get a ticket, but I didn't see the stuff he was told about happening on the pitch in the previous game. We were mindful of the fact that you had just been relegated and I think that the Bury FC fans were very respectful. We celebrated our promotion, who wouldn't?, all the Tranmere fans I spoke to after the game were very complimentary about our supporters behaviour.
Well, there was the banner about Prenton Park being the biggest ground in non league, and there was a fairly large contingent of Bury fans who seemed intent on gloating about our relegation in front of the main stand and on social media rather than celebrating your promotion. Unfortunately they're the ones that get remembered, not the fans who were polite and restrained.

Similarly, its the vocal Tranmere fans on social media that seem to be taken as being representative here. Most of us don't want you to go under.

My son is on his paper round and has texted me that you are saved! Apparently Dale has accepted a bid.

That banner never happened. First I’ve heard of it in 4 years since and I was there looking for a seat that day, and swapped seats at HT. No banner.

Watch that and tell me where the gloating is. Notice Tranmere fans clapping in the stands, clearly not being provoked.

Why do you conveniently forget the 200 or so fans of your own set to the left of the away end goading us throughout the entire match? If there was any reaction from a pocket of our fans nearest the main stand you can blame your own fans for goading us in the first place.

I recall Tranmere’s only desire that game was to ‘rain on our parade’ as you’d already been relegated and hated Ryan Lowe for leaving you the season before.

You think we were being disrespectful because of your green eyed jealousy at the time. It didn’t happen, you were just bitter about it, simple as.

It doesn't matter if it did anyway. A collective of football fans take the piss in those circumstances, always have and always will, and Tranmere fans I have no doubt have done the same when they played a team that is going down. The common "going down" chants etc are examples of such.

Yes Chris Maguire springs to mind when we couldn't compete with the wages offered.

First post on here for a long while, embarrassed as I was by our decline. I guess Bury put stuff in perspective. Best of luck guys.

Sounds by his statements that the old fool is digging his heels in and he is even denying there has been an offer for the club.

I see Dale wants to be compensated for all the things he has paid out for and the terrible seven months he has had. Plus any new owner takes on the CVA responsibilities off his shoulders. Reading his statement it sounds like he is drawing lines in the sand, which make me feel this won’t happen.

He's not gonna go without kicking and screaming. 9 days to sort something out. I'd be more than happy to give up playing this season, relegate us to whatever division aslong as it means we get rid of this parasite.

So what is Dale’s game, what is he trying to get out of this? Are there any assets to strip?

A theory is that he is linked with Day and his end game is to liquidate the club in order to hide the dodgy (illegal?) business transactions carried out in the past. I stress that it is only a guess but the longer he goes on refusing to sell it really makes you wonder.

Understood, you're right and I'm wrong. My eyes must have played tricks on me, I could've sworn I saw a banner with Stockport crossed out and Tranmere written instead, followed by "biggest stadium in non league", but you know best. Thanks for correcting me.

I was there, there was no banner. You’re also the first person to ever make reference to this banner 4 years after the match has taken place.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I thoughts I’d put here.

Curzon Ashton are offering free admission to any bury season ticket holders to their game vs Kidderminster on Saturday.

I’d check Curzon’s twitter for details

Why? Legend at Oxford is Mags
The laziest player we have ever seen at Gigg
Turned up late for a game, plrked in a disabled spot on the carpark and was effin an jeffin at fans for pointing it out.
Yes he got a shit deal at Gigg but NONE of the other players threw their toys out of the pram in the way this toss pot did.
