Lowe linked with Luton. Not sure it would be the best move for him, he will be expected to deliver promotion there. If he was to go, I wouldn't be set against Appleton taking the job though.

I'd wager that Appleton is more likely to get the Luton job.

Champions elect still flying high. Had some day on Sat, really enjoyable. That said, the stewarding at that club and the ridiculous idea of that vegan tree hugger are now going to see 3 decent blokes potentially banned. Vince really should issue a public apology. Add to that stewards hitting kids and even throwing Bury FC employees out of the ground it really was scandalous. And then we beat them … very sweet indeed. Won't lose any sleep when they piss off back to non league where they belong, there were only just over 500 Bury there and the infrastructure and personnel simply couldn't handle it.

Now, onto the Checka tomorrow. Won't be too worried if a full changed side is put out, given Saturdays big fixture. Can't see too many bothering, especially with Saturday on the horizon and poor weather forecast. Win would be nice, but crucial not to pick up any injuries.

So a champion month draws to a close for the champions elect. I don't think anyone could have possibly hoped for a better points return. On paper the next few games are favourable, however we have all seen way too much to know that nothing is won on paper.

Big 2 days for the chairman, we are in the position where promotion is certainly a possibility, but with the backdrop of us looking to reduce our expenditure. Will we see any players leave? We could certainly shred 2 or 3 top earners with little to no effect on results. Will we see no further movement or will Dale decide to twist and maybe bring others in? I doubt it'll be the latter, unless we are talking maybe Styles back in on loan. I do fear that someone may take a gamble on O'Shea or Mayor in particularly.

Thanks for grounding Kev's excitement for Morecambe away on the Dorian Campbell BFC Group Howard, my enthusiasm for a trip to the seaside in February has been officially grounded.

I will be continuing my king kev globetrotting extravaganza on Sat as I watch Linfield v Coleraine, having visited Ibrox last weekend. Next week is a re visit to St James Park (Exeter) to see the new away end, the champions elect, and most importantly Dougie crying into his post match pint again!

Shame about the late goal conceded v Crawley, but it is one of the horrible fixtures out of the way. As for Sat, we really need to make sure that we pick up maximum points from a fixture that has normally being relatively successful for us. Defo the right call to back Lancaster pre match, Morecambe defo a don't bother!

I thought our record at Morecombe was a bit shite?
I can only ever remember us winning there once in 10/11.
In fact it was Morecambe who led to my unfair dismissal under the former joke of a chairman.

Yep the first in a series of utter ridiculous promises and decisions was the pathetic sacking of King Kev. Hopefully tomorrow we can right the wrongs from the past.

On par with the hilarious new stadium pledge?
Apparently set to move in this May.

His refusal to reveal target sites for the ground based on the council wanting to keep it secret was laughable. Almost as laughable as the aparthotel idea.

Worth discussing more in the bistro pub built on the site of the old Social Club.

Great win from the champions elect yesterday. A wonderful double over Exeter … Dougie will be pleased! I have to say I have been impressed with the resolve of the team since the turn of the year, we seem to have found a way of grinding out results away as well as dominating teams at home.

3 home games to come now … I'd take 4 points over a win in the cup. We must surely be due a win against Oldham, and Macclesfield seem to be improving every week, I don't expect a repeat of the rout we had at Moss Rose. As for the Pompey game, yes its a semi final, but I'm afraid that with the importance of the league games either side of it I'd be advocating resting key players, particularly O'Shea and Mayor.

Seconded, big game next Saturday.

So the champions elect march on and on and on. Fantastic performance, especially second half. Looks like 3 from 4 for promotion now.

That’s a big crowd for bury too, offer on or did Oldham just bring like 3000 or so?

I noted you’ve not lost since you did to us on Boxing Day, that’s impressive.

Surely more like 5,000 Oldham?

Aye 2700 Oldham and no offer on. Very good home turnout for us. Hopefully word is beginning to spread. Or was it just that Yernighted weren't on the tele?

Think it always happens, obviously Lincoln’s fans have been filling out their ground for the last 2 years, we got over 5,000 home fans which isn’t bad at all for us, promotion fever!

Plenty of fans in home end only there because Oldham were the visitors.

Yeah our crowds normally do go up when we are doing well, but not to this level. I'll be intrigued to see what the attendance is against Macclesfield.

Jill Nev says only main stand open so they do not seem to think it will be a big gate
