Tom Nichols always puts in a shift and clearly has far more technical ability than James.

A copulating baboon had more technical ability than James...however I was referring to the work rate. Are you sure we are talking about the same Tom Nicholls? The one I am talking about spent all his time at Posh running away from the ball, ducking any header that came his way and avoiding a tackle like the plague, whilst rarely accepting the opportunity to have a shot thus his poor scoring rate?

I am just making sure you did not pay for another one of a similar name as 'Timid Tom' and the 'putting in a shift' terms are not generally associated with each other?!

Don't take up betting full time mate.

Don't worry more than covered by the 9/2 I got on the Oldham prediction and the 14/1 I got on their relegation.

To be honest I am more than happy for anyone to beat the six fingered Wobbs cretins 6-0 in their own subbuteo stadium !

In regards to Nichols, I’ve given him a lot of backing because he’s
1) not had the rub of the green - hit the bar, post and kept off the line in recent weeks
2) because he’s been shoved out on the left more often than not
3) his general all round game has been pretty good, worked very hard, positively effects the play bar scoring

That being said, it does get to a point that you simply have to score a goal. He’s almost trying so hard that it’s actually become a negative.

I actually think a little spell as back up would do him some good, Ellis and Gaff are in form and have to be first choice, Nichols can try and make some impact from the bench.

Nicholls will come good. Works his arse off and the goals will come.
BTW how good is Sercombe? We've signed a gem there.

To be fair, Nicholls does work hard, very hard in fact. My comment was made at half time but he was very good 2nd half.

But still, the guy needs to score badly. He’s not helping his situation either as Telford is getting less game time and scoring more...

Sercombe is quality - for natural talent he is one of the best we’ve had in years. I was a bit worried that he was going to be a JJ O’toole type of player because he goes forward too much and leaves gaps, but recently we’ve had Sercombe in the free role but Lines as a CDM type role supporting defence and pinging balls all over the pitch and dictating the pace of the game - actually similar to a Pirlo type of role. This diamond shape seems to suit us pretty well in midfield, giving Bodin absolute freedom to run all over the place and cause trouble. Let’s hope his injury isn’t for too long!

Bola looks a cracking player too

Yep, this position seems to suit Lines. What a win to celebrate his 300th game. Against better teams I think I'd like to see a " ratter" like Sincs in with him though. I agree, got to hope Bodin is alright.

Don't get too excited lads, you didn't beat Brazil you beat a team who'd look out of their depth in the U11 Northants disabled league

This is absolutely bonkers to me, Sercs did really well for us in League 2, but even then wasn't a standout player really, and was a solid League 1 player for us, but he never really looked good enough to be starting on a good team in this league, but you lads really seem to have taken a shine to him, fair play to him though, despite a pretty sour ending here he was a good lad and scored some big goals for us to help us get up to this level but just shows one mans cast off is another mans gold

We don't play by any rules except our own. And we only have one rule, which is that there are no rules.

Maybe we just have different expectations regarding work rate...which is probably why we stuffed you so easily at your own rugby pitch...we kept saying Nicholls would come good. but as the weeks without a goal scoring return that justified even a fraction of the money spent on him, turned into months amd months turned into a season and a half, it was obvious he was always destined to be shite.

At least your manager has dropped him already...for some inexplicable reason ours kept playing him last season in virtually every game !

I don't understand the constant Nicholls bashing from Posh fans. He had some bad games and missed some sitters but was too often made the scapegoat for other players bad performances. He also finished our top scorer for last season which a lot seem to have forgotten.

Hand on heart - do you think he was a good buy for us then?

I only asked for us to score a goal, couldn't even do that...I was one of the lucky ones, I wasn't there...:bl:
