I presume fish sauce is worcester sauce??

Eurgh. Nah mate. Fish sauce is fish sauce. If you haven't got a chinese shop go to the supermarket and buy it. It'll be near the soy sauce.

Try soaking them overnight in some cold water and then give them another rinse. Sometimes the preservatives used in tins can give a unpleasant slimy texture and quite a strong taste.

A vegan chilli is pretty easy to make and pretty nice. I made one the other day with some kidney beans, carrots, tinned tomatoes, left over baked-beans with some cumin, chili powder, oregano & basil. Even a fool like me can manage it.

Just made a beef roast dinner for my family. My wife will be home from a hard day's work soon.

Made a sweet potato, mushroom and turkey Thai soup the other day. (Had turkey left over).

It was delightful though I'll definitely use chicken next time. Turkey was far too tough.
