Given our ex director spends more time tweeting about Notts than Wycombe (to the extent where many fans believed he still worked for us!) and still lives in Nottingham the title seemed apt.

Wycombe have had a good start but faced two of the newer teams to the division so far in Port Vale and Lincoln. Think we will struggle to contain Akinfenwa as per usual would be delighted with a point.

Nice thread title.

For us, it has to be:

A keeper, will prob be Collin

Tootle, Duffy, Brisley, Jones
Hawkridge, Yates, Milsom, Grant
Forte, Ameobi

Doesn't it?

Will definitely be Collin, he's been massively improved in the two games so far this season. Not convinced it'll last, but hey.

Nothing wrong with Collin imo. Perfectly passable league two / one keeper.
Looking forward to this, have a weird feeling we will go play badly but come away with something.

Big decision is around Forte. I doubt he will start ahead of Stead but he really should! I'd also start Milsom and Grant. But Nolan is springing some surprises atm

Hopefully Anthony Stewart will be fit to start his first game of the season in the heart of defence,Craig Mackail-Smith will be making his debut after signing a one year deal which must mean Scott Kashket is nowhere near being fit again with a hip problem,no other players missing for us which makes a change.

Could be some old strikers playing tomorrow with Stead, Ameobi, Akinfewa and Mackail-Smith for both sides.
I hope KN bucks his trend and tries Forte with Ameobi as I think Forte could play well off Ameobi and with fairly decent wingers too.

Akinfenwa is bound to score against us, he normally does but I would hope we have enough in stock especially with a decent bench to get at least a point here.

Where's good to park Mowgli?
Not at the ground it's a rip off. Try the streets away from the ground if you're there early enough or park in town and get the bus. Forgot to mention there will be a beer marquee for away fans in the car park with a BBQ. Safe journey to all of you travelling down i just hope you're pissed off at the final whistle. :)

That Marquee and BBQ was immense for our promotion party a few seasons back, great hosts.

As dire as we were Wycombe looked very impressive last week, think you'll win this one. Fancy you to challenge.

I'd try Gallows Lane and the Hour Glass for a decent pint and cheap ham bap. If you're early enough you might even find room on the pub car park.

It takes a long time to walk to wycombe ground from wycombe train stop so best to drive there or go on club bus but some people like to go on train so they will have a long walk from train stop to get to the ground.

Oh crap i've just seen the teamsheet,no Nathan Tyson,Paris Cowan-Hall or Sam Saunders all out injured so that's our attacking threat gone as fucking Paul Hayes starts so no doubt he'll embarrass himself yet again before being subbed by Mackail-Smith on the hour mark. :ffs:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

In light of recent events, we at Ravenbish HQ can not and will not condone the recent conduct of Notts County manager, Kevin Nolan. Mr Nolan's recent transgressions include playing Jon Stead and Shola Ameobi as a partnership on three separate and consecutive occasions (league games). This sort of behaviour can not be tolerated by a man in such an esteemed position.

With regret, we announce the official beginning of the 'Kevin Nolan is a bad manager' narrative and, as such, will be forced to invoke severe sanctions such as not attending the next home game and even starting a #NolanOut campaign on onefootballforum.co.uk should these management decisions persist.

We issue no further comment at this time.

Nolan sticking it to RB here as we're in total control.

Good things about Wycombe - the fucking unreal pub outside the station

Bad things about Wycombe - the bus to the ground seems to go via Reading and Slough for some reason

So did Stead have a good game or not? That's all we're interested in.

Entertaining, that. Thought we should've been more than 2-0 up at half time, but the first 35 of the second half Wycombe battered us and deserved to draw it level. That said, the two goals that they scored were absolute belters that we couldn't do a lot about.

Game changed again when Forte came on, suddenly we had a threat in behind and started creating chances again. Great three points and we definitely seem to be over that disastrous opening day.

Wycombe must be a shit team
Any team missing Kashket,Cowan-Hall,Saunders and Tyson will struggle, plus we have a clueless manager which doesn't help. He left Freeman on the bench yet he scored within 2 minutes of coming on yet he started Paul Hayes who is not even Conference level as his best years are well past him. I've been campaigning for 3 seasons to get rid of Ainsworth so it's not after just one result.
