I've had big real life commitments (overseas with poor internet) so haven't been on here since last summer on and off. The league one area just seemed to dry up, and most of the relevant football banter is now on Facebook groups and the like and with that easier to access. I frequent the main Argyle forums now as a first port of call for football related news.

That said, from those who knew my past forum Alias, forums are a good source of info, but I won't go back to running comps/posting every day/moderating again. That said I will appear here and there and support the site financially.

Of course we want lively discussions with plenty of input but simply getting more people to join is a sure fire way of being overrun by trolls who leap onto any forum that comes to their attention and then go out of their way to destroy it. Trolls are the digital cancer every site can do without.
There are enough trolls already in the forum. Some threads became so toxic, I just decided to increasingly go elsewhere.
However, I've been guilty of trolling too - but have also apologised to people when I realised maybe I've gone too far.

I find the comments about the Shoutbox amusing. It always has been a little clique who've used it.

This is a decent forum. The Championship forum is as good as ever.

I suggest merging the site with Football Forums .net as they are a forum also struggling with activity like this one, if the two combined then there would be plenty more traffic and posts etc.

So why not offer them a deal?

In terms of posts, January was our busiest month since August (always a peak as people sign up and post about the season starting). Jan ranked as our third busiest month in the last 12.

Turns out this is a fairly widespread issue currently with the Google adsense network affecting Android users over the last 1-2 months, which many forums have reported to Google, but as yet hasn't been fixed. Do a google search on the rogue domain in question "rgshark . com" and you'll see lots of forums moaning about it.

There is a setting you can turn on to prevent it in Chrome:
Also the shortly upcoming next release of Chrome will block these sorts of redirects automatically for you with no need to set anything. So if and when you next see a notification to update your apps pop up on your phone, Chrome specifically, do it and that will sort it for you.

TractorBoys and I will see if there's anything we can do at a site wide level in the meantime.

Thanks for the reports on the issue T.A Abertawe Lionel Messi

Can't believe the little Peruvian shit didn't mention me as good non-brit posters. If I get a spare for France/Peru I'm so totally not gonna ask him if he wants it for free. That's right, you heard me.

Regarding the lack of activity yes it's troubling but I like to rebuild stuff that are broken and a bit of a team leader. Like Trump. So I'll continue to use this forum because I've done just that since I was 18 (I'm 31 now) and can't be bothered looking elsewhere.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't give a flying fuck about nintendogate?

A couple of 'likes' from fucking Ernesto ?.........that's classic.

Show your evidence lads instead of 'hiding' behind bland comments. If you're going to accuse any c*nt of anything you have to be in possession of evidence. So let's see it....or are youse waiting to grow a pair?....Tum tee tum........

This forum needed me and who am I as a 2 time Hall of Fame poster (that’s twice, not once) to turn it down? Glad to be back, posting the truth and only the truth whether people like it or not.

I come from a football forum that died, other forms of 'social media' has taken over, face facts. There is still a niche for people who like a forum like this though, the more '''instant" varieties tend to lack depth and dare I say intelligence. Long live 1FF I say. :bg:
