Karius. Eventually you will see it. Like you eventually did with Mignolet

Heard he had another top save there yet not a murmurence from yourself. Can't even credit the lad when he keeps the ball out the net. For shame.

Can’t you two just stop debating goalkeepers. You’re like polar opposites it will never lead anywhere

Two top saves in fact. Mind you these "fans" are the first one to criticize any small "mistakes."

It's not wrong, I've watched Karius numerous times and he's yet to impress me with his distribution ability and always looks shit scared on the ball. And Mignolet's distribution being worse doesn't stop Karius's being shite. Both our keepers fall well short of the required quality, but I'd agree that Mignolet more so.

Anyway, we disagree but you're guaranteed a like when the resident Scot makes an appearance.

I see his distribution as being more than just his kicking. His accuracy with his arm, speed at which he'll release the ball etc. He's good at all those at minimum imo, there are other areas I have bigger question marks over him. I completely disagree about him looking shit scared on the ball, I have much more confidence with him at his feet and he's far more willing and confident to have the ball at his feet than our other keepers.

I concede (not as much as Mignolet) that he's got a very low benchmark to be compared against but his playing style is a much better fit for us & I think that'll help until the end of the season when we buy a new keeper.

Was watching a stats vid just a few mins ago that focused on VVD, but it was interesting how well he was working with Karius, helping direct play forward that in particular helped with the last goal. Sometimes Karius isn't great with his kicking, but his distribution out from his hands is excellent. I've always been confident in Karius's playstyle, he just had to start saving some balls, which he is now doing very well. I'd be more than happy for us to have him as the number one next season, though apparently we are in talks with Allison now for a summer move.

Maybe its because of watching Migs for so long but I think his kicking his pretty good. I notice most of his kicks landing towards our own player which helps us keep possession further up the pitch. Alisson is class, hopefully by the end of the season Karius proves we don't need to spend crazy money on a keeper.

Poor Loris. I hope he can recover because this is the sort of nightmare that could severely damage his mentality.

Thats the sort of game that ruins a goalkeeper's career. It'll follow him forever. Feel for him.

I hear Joe Hart is available.

Liverpool wouldn't go wrong with Fabianski tbh. He's good which helps, he's in his peak and he'd be cheap as his contract hasn't long left. We'll take Karius in return.

Expected Goals
Arsenal - Cech
Bournemouth - Begovic
Brighton (and Hove) - Ryan
Burnley - Hart
Cardiff - Etheridge
Chelsea - Kepa
Crystal Palace - Hennessy
Everton - Pickford
Fulham - Fabri
Huddersfield - Hamer
Leicester - Schmeichel
Liverpool - Allison
Man City - Ederson
Man Utd - De Gea
Newcastle - Dubravka
Southampton - McCarthy
Tottenham - Lloris
Watford - Foster
West Ham - Fabianski
Wolves - Patricio

They seem to be the brave men trusted between the goalposts this season. Early questions are being asked of course:
Can Cech play with his feet or are Arsenal Petr off starting Leno?
Will Chelsea be able to Kepa clean sheet against the big teams?
Are Huddersfield going to get Hamered every week?
Is Foster good enough to help Watford close the gap?
Is Allison as beautiful as she sounds?

Fabianski seems to be a very good option for teams who aren't expecting to defend very well. That guy sure can make a save or two!

That was a Lloris-esque mistake by Alisson (again) this week and this time he was punished for it.

He can't even blame it on inebriation like Hugo.

It's a rite of passage for Liverpool goalkeepers to have a disaster. In my opinion this simply cements his status as Liverpool's number one.

Four wins from four, one goal conceded. It was a bad mistake but you can see why we're not getting too worked up about it (and why our rivals are desperately trying to).
