Away at Cheltenham, and a chance to end our losing sequence. It seems a long time since we won at Crawley way back on the19th January. Will Askey shake things up? will Oyeleke be back from injury? will Pope be dropped? will Barnett score against his old team? Cheltenham have a small comfort gap from the bottom four and should have no trouble surving, but have lost their last two games. We are better away from Vale Park so its not beyond us to come away with a point or three.

We could certainly do with a boost.

Barnett is crocked, think Varney is out also.

Tricky, hopefully some of the players from last season will want to right a wrong after one of the most humiliating league defeats we have had which took place here almost 12 months ago.

Pope will play, I have a feeling if Manny is fit we will go 4-4-2 and Monty and Worrall will be out wide.

Hopefully after our first away defeat in 9 last away day we can get back on track as this seems our best chance of getting results with our poor home form being an issue.

Hopefully Rawlinson is dropped for Legge or Howkins!

The last few games should be all he needs to shake it up a bit. Was very unimpressed with his answer on why Leon Legge is being left out the team. I don’t care whether it’s three at the back or a flat back four he and Howkins are both far better options than Rawlinson and Smith. Would certainly drop Hannant and Kay but doubt will go for both.

Wonder if Miller will be back in?

Hopefully we can create chances again and finally bloody take a couple! Win here changes everything.

Wow didn’t expect that line up! Weak and out of form players dropped and attacking players coming in!

Oyeleke returning is a monster boost for us. Legge back is a plus and Monty and Wozza deserve a chance.

Miles better lineup, we may still come up short but finally giving close to our best possible team a go will give us a far better shout.

If we lose we lose trying to win... rather than lose trying not to lose. We should have chances with this set up. Big game for Wozza he was first on the team sheet last season

Yep and it's absolutely the right way to go about it. We're not going to draw our way to safety like last season. Pleased Legge is back in there, the defence has been lacking leadership with him out the team. Also good call to drop Hannant to the bench, he's been getting away with sub-par performances too often so hopefully will give him a boot up the arse.

Similar theme, shouldn’t be losing but a complete switch off at a corner. Had one ruled out for offside and Monty should bury that on half time.

Another week same story.

Results not being kind at all elsewhere. Will say though we sound like we are still well in this game. Just got to keep going.

Playing well enough but they’ve scored from a cut back corner... I mean we’ve tried that move enough times recently to know it! Kay is having a shitter.

Their pitch is like a postage stamp so need to get used to it.

We just cant score, and keep losing by the odd goal. We've only had one heavy defeat all season, which is extremely frustrating.

Next week is now a season defining game.

3 out of the last 4 times we have put the ball in the net it's been disallowed for offside. We are shit most vale fans already know we are going down. I'm not bothered about us going down it's more important to get rid of Smurf. I haven't been an away game since Macclesfield I might go next week at county as it's an important game but I still expect us to lose that as they can score unlike us.

If going down meant getting rid of Smugthwaite then it wouldn't be a complete loss.

The new Anton Forrester, yet another injury, get rid , absolutely a liability as he misses more than he plays

Not sure about comments we were playing well.
I've just got home completely underwhelmed by the utter shite I've witnessed.
Pope was truly appalling again with a first touch to weep at .
Askey is pretty much Aspin in a wig

We are down

why persist with Pope? hes clearly lost his mojo. Turner must be wondering what he has to do to get a chance.

What I feared would happen happened to be honest, Kay in a 4-4-2 with a clearly unfit Manny left us with no midfield. It just got over ran and literally they just had to defend the wings, once they got the lead then went to frustrating the game, falling down easy etc and as usual our heads dropped.

Annoyingly though yet another good goal not given. It’s cost us 2 points now potentially three if the Tranmere one was incorrect.

Pope looks isolated again, there is no one getting around him and he’s not fit. Drop him who can go in and do a job? Poor recruitment has left us no options.

Confidence is zero and they didn’t look up for the battle bar Gibbons who was excellent.
