We were impresssive by all accounts at the weekend, but also told that Northampton were comfortably the worst side to grace BP this season.

Need to keep picking up wins now, with a favourable fixture list for the rest of December.

I mean, I'd feel bad but if you're travelling the length of the country to justify that competition then you don't even deserve a refund of your ticket money.

Anyone kicking off about the pitch not being covered in snow: doesn't matter, if it's frozen or there's ice around the stadium, it's going to be in danger. Ultimately it's not your job to decide and you probably don't know what you're talking about, so let's just be happy that we weren't the Swindon fans well on the way to Accrington before being told they'd have to drive back to pig hill.

Comfortable win for Ox against one of the smaller sides in the Division, entirely as expected. I didn't go - I don't have a season ticket.
I felt bad, if they're there then it's likely they don't even know about the boycott. Just trying to support their team. Some people don't really use social media, I envy them in a way.

Massively few weeks for us to see if we can push for a playoff spot or not. Bury, Northampton and Wimbeldon at home. On paper 3 home wins, due to our good home record and current form. However.....football never goes the way it should.. If we can get maximum points v Bury and Charlton lose away to blackburn we will be in the top six come 5pm.

They'd have to think for themselves about what it represents in that case. I still don't feel bad.

Mind you, some of you lot seem to really love that shit about it being a duty to support your team no matter what, and I've never bought into it.

I fully expect Pompey to reach play-offs. We have a similar run of games coming up.

Our next 2 are
WIMBLEDON (A)
OXFORD (A)
Which we would expect to take maximum points.

between Christmas and New Year we then have
SHREWSBURY (H)
CHARLTON (H)
I'd be happy with 4 points from those two.

Before Northampton on New Years day.

I think the table could look completely different come January and expect Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury to slowly start sliding.

I wouldn't have usually been happy with a point at home to MK Dons but in the grand scheme of things it was a very good point. Considering the cracks in our team are being papered over by players playing out of position and the fact we were down to 10 men for half the game. Gilks was outstanding and kept us in the game, he seemed to make save after save to get us a point. Don't really know about the sending off as it happened well away from me.

Sounds like we battered Rochdale and were unlucky not to win by 2 or 3

Brilliant result for us tonight, we were nailed on for relegation until Stevie Lovell took over and now we look like having more than a fighting chance.

We took 7 points out of a possible 36 in our first 12 games under Pennock and Taylor.
Lovell took over with us 2nd from bottom and almost certainly going down. Since then we have something like the 5th best record in the division taking 19 points from a possible 33.
Fantastic turnaround from the manager and he's got a great response from the lads.

Fantastic win to move us 5 points clear, also drags fleetwood into the mix.

I went to the game tonight, got to say Gillingham hands down more than deserved that win, Fleetwood never really threatened the goal.

That looks a huge win for Gills i had them down as dead and burried but fair play to them, bit of a gap opening at the bottom end now.

Scunny 5/4 at home against us hahah what a price. Worst away side there is and Ryan Leonard is banned

Our team is very patched up. We have zero first team CM's fit to play meaning a young loanee who has never played a league game for us will start and a LB together in CM. I'm not confident getting anything today.

Reading oufc Twitter and it sounds like a complete capitulation. Are you there? Honestly I don't think many will care. So much apathy at our club after two brilliant seasons - I haven't been to a game in months.

Very surprised with this scoreline, especially with Oxfords recent run of 3-0 wins.

Big win for us today with others dropping points around us. Fair play to Southend they didn't come to sit back, they really went for it. Some good players in that Southend team, can't see them being far down for long.

Just the 7 in the end for the biggest club in the league.

Yep just the 7, could have been double figures too by all accounts. We move on now to Shrews on boxing day, revenge time for us i think...

I was quite impressed by Southend today. We aren't good enough to go up automatically but I'm sure we will be in the playoffs. It's a poor league
