Incredible, that. You were bottom at the start of December weren't you?
Thought Plymouth were one of the worst sides I've seen back in September. What a turnaround.

Something like that. Since our defeat at home to Fleetwood back on the 7th of October (I felt Adams should of gone after that one, and expected him to) we have lost 3 in 21. Ryan Taylor came back from injury as did Oscar Threlkeld, Lamieras came in alongside Carey and since then we haven't looked back.

I'm not sure how long this run will last but back at the beginning of October I was dreading getting up for away games at stupid o'clock dreading another defeat, and now I can't wait. Football is a crazy game!

That was the worst I’ve seen us play in years and I’m not exaggerating. An absolutely disgusting performance. If I had it my way I’d leave all of them out next Monday and play the kids. They don’t deserve the privilege of sharing the pitch with City and we’ll get ten put past us either way.

What idiot told Lyle Taylor that he was good at taking penalties? I've lost track of the number he's missed/had saved, it's quite a few.

But he does make a good pantomime baddy. He never did tell us what the score was!

Really thought Rochdale were a good outfit last night, they definitely deserved at least a point. I feel for them here because this is a typical performance of a team really working hard to get out of the mess they're in - a good, strong performance but still end up losing. Have a watch of their 2nd goal seconds after we went 2-1 up, it was like bloody Barcelona (and some awful defending too - but still)

As mentioned before, another officiating calamity for the 1st goal. Awful. Ref gave a freekick but the linesman overruled him. I'm sorry but the standard of refereeing is pathetic. If the referee saw contact with the hand, it shouldn't matter what the linesman saw (who has MUCH further away). There weren't really any protests from Rochdale either (apart from the goal scorer who stuck his arm in the air).

Good luck Rochdale on your fight for survival, play like that and you deserve to stay up. I'm curious to see how you can handle the amount of games though as you were tiring at the end of last night and we had just played on Tuesday too with your game called off!

Karl Robinson is a wingy C**t, moaned all night now moaning in the press, just accept your team bottled it instead of making excuses for them. Our challenges were no worse than theirs. Football's full of bitches now.

All these teams below us saying 'we might catch Bradford', we've just lost 6 on the bounce. It's a disgrace you haven't caught us yet and I can see our form picking up again now.

He’s losing the plot, pressure is mounting on him now after last night with plenty of fans calling for his head.

I defended him a while back claiming he’s ‘working miracles’ but thinking about it logically, he hasn’t. He’s just been fortunate the rest of the division is gash. We didn’t win in 10 league games and have now conceded leads in the last 10 mins of the last 3 games. It’s actually very, very poor.

Truth is, he is out-managed by the opposition dugout every week. He’s tactically naive, has no idea what to do if his plan A doesn’t work, waits too long to make subs and then blames everything and everyone other than himself. It’s very tedious and is a lot of the reason why fans would be happy to see the back of him.

Blokes a fucking moron, just look at these quotes from last night.

“When we’ve put subs on in the 80th minute in recent weeks, it’s taken them two or three minutes to get into the game and we don’t have time”

“it’s not like we’re conceding goals by poor play, I’m more concerned about players protection”

:brill: So glad that the fact we’ve conceded 13 points in the final 10 mins of games this season doesn’t concern him.

As i predicted, the game was a tougher game than the weekend but not in the manner I thought, thought it may be more of a battle but Rochdale actually seemed a better football team then recent opponents. But you could definitely telll they didnt have a game on the weekend, definitely the fresher of the two teams. Ref has had a shocker in the first half with goal number one as gassy mentioned above, think the whole ground saw it as a handball and was a state of disbelief when he gave it. Wish i put money on saying at HT we'd come back to win, 7th comeback win this season alone, we like to make it difficult for ourselves. Thought Gaffney was excellent, Lines was very good and couldn't quite believe the usually useless Byron Moore changed the game when he came on.

Felt Rochdale better than league position suggested but league doesn't paint a pretty picture for them. It's too soon to start believing we might make a run at playoffs for me.

In fairness, Plymouth and ourselves have had to come from an awfully long way behind!

Honestly I'm just incredulous that we've been so bad recently and all season at home but we are still in the play-offs. But I get told off if I say 'it's a shite league this year' so I'm trying new things.

That's fair enough. Our team on paper shouldn't ever be anywhere near to being in contention, yet here we are somehow. It's still a very tough ask though, I don't think we'll be much higher than we currently are come the end of the season!

We were 16 points behind you on New Years Eve and now we're just 5 behind with a game in hand. Yep, such a disgrace.

That part sounds like McCall tbh,we played nice pretty football but his tactics were none existent in both spells in charge, some are made to coach not manage.

Refreshing to see Grayson taking notes all the first half (something which McCall has never done), then change it at half time as it clearly wasn't working. He said after the game that he'd not had time to see the team so just went on 2 of our coaching staffs advice, don't think he'll make that mistake again. He was delighted we have a 10 day break as well, sounds like they'll be spending a lot of time on the training ground. Hoping for a different level of performance next game.

It’s the third division. Shite is just what it is, this year isn’t an exception. It’s why we are all here.

I meant relatively obviously. For us to take 2 points from the last 24 and still only drop 2 places is a new frontier. We keep losing every week and I keep looking at the table expecting us to be 10th and we are somehow still in the playoffs. The only teams who can catch us with games in hand are Charlton and Posh so it's not there are loads of teams lining up to overtake us either. It's bizarre but I can't complain. It's a great bonus for Grayson coming into the club to be in this position if he can get us performing again, looks like he's already started his work second half last night.

You’ve been very lucky in that respect, but you were a long way ahead to start with. What were we, ten points behind at one point? If the form teams below you had been other than us, Gills and Plymouth over the last two months (we were highest placed of the three at 12th) it would have looked different. in that regard I agree, fancied teams like Posh, Charlton etc have blown a great chance there.

Predictably we lost.

You lost yeh, however you played some really decent stuff in midfield, but were just short up front.

We played alright but I never felt absolutely comfortable and but for a brilliant save by Rodak it would have been 3 2
and then it would have been interesting.

We were a long way ahead of 7th but realistically we weren't challenging for top 2 at any stage, especially when Blackburn decided to show up. The main thing was to stay in the playoffs, if you;re in them at the end of the year then league position doesn't matter as we've found out last two years. Think the 6th placed side won both finals.

I think we were sixth in 2014 too, a late burst of form lifted us into the playoffs and saw us through.

It was an odd game. I think a few of our players were still feeling the effects of Saturday at Scunny and we looked a bit tired in places and a bit edgy at times too. We also never seemed to get into top gear at all. Hopefully all fixed by the time we go to Shrews on Saturday. At the same time, Oxford seemed to win a lot of possession in midfield and keep us on the back foot, without really threatening. The one time they did it resulted in an excellent goal. They seemed to have midfield packed, leaving holes in defence and nobody up front for much of the game, and even then had lengthy spells where they couldn’t get over the halfway line. Like I said, an odd game.

Football fans are brilliant, we are such fickle gets, us with Carlos and the Millers with Warne, the knives were out in the autumn now he's got the well in the hunt.

Hope the Millers and Shrewsbury come up, not fussed on the 3rd, perhaps Bradford as its been a while since I've visited VP (2003).

I’ve been thinking about that too. I think it was reaper who posted on here about Warney being one game away from the sack. I always had a feeling that Warney could be a real gem, but that he’d naturally need a bit of time. If anything, things seem to be working quicker than I’d expected.

I'd agree with all of that, it was a very entertaining game.

Warne had an unbelievably difficult job to turn around the losing every week culture of last season.
He was a victim of too good a good start really, lots of high scores early season but then we had a dreadful spell and the usual suspects were straight
on his back.
They are pretty quiet now strangely enough but they will be waiting in the wings if things go tits up.

We have a really difficult set of away games up to the end of the season, playing a lot of in form teams, Gillingham, Southend, Plymouth and Northampton.
Then add to that away at Shrewsbury, Wigan and Charlton.

Four of them are also quite long distance trips so there won't be many big away followings to cheer the lads on.

We look good at the moment but if we get through that little lot we will deserve a play off spot.
