Tuesday is a huge game for us, at Lincoln. Win and we move within 4 points of the top 3 which gives us a sniff. Anything less and I think the autos are out of reach and we’re looking at the playoffs AGAIN!!!!
We'll beat Lincoln.

A straight red? I thought it was 3, but please prove me wrong. 2 yellows and a red is 1 (providing nothing before)
Violent conduct is three and professional foul is one, so I'd have thought it would been one.

I think you’re massively underestimating the support we’re capable of if it’s a down-to-wire, winner takes all game.

We had 15,000 home fans in against Yeovil on the last day in 2015, when most of the folk of MK had already resigned themselves to the play offs.

A league lower now, but I’m sure it would be similar numbers from us, at least.
There are some that would call such support plastic or bandwagon!

Avoid defeat in our games against Exeter and FGR next week and I think we'll be fine. Even winning one and losing one would be alright.

We tend to finish season's strongly under Cowley and realistically we probably only need 20 points from our 13 remaining games.

Hope so. Lincoln have been drawing a fair few games but got a good win today.

Sounds like Moxey is going to be out as he did his hamstring today, despite playing till the end of the game. Law is also highly doubtful so I think a draw would be a decent result. Having said that we have a threat and have not much to lose, so we just have to give it our best shot.

We are calling this (vs ECFC on Tuesday night) the biggest game of the season so far apparently- it's our game in hand and a win takes us 5 points clear again.

Only about 200 tickets left in the home end at the moment (all depends how many Grecians travel and if we put you in the bike shed or not) so should be a good atmosphere.

After a tricky few games mansfield now have Cheltenham home, port vale away, Crawley away in the next 3.

Hopefully we can accumulate some points in that run

This thread is for swindon, Crewe and Grimsby. Why are teams like Lincoln here ?

Teams from 5th downwards should have some little thread of their own about playoffs/mid table issues

When we win our next 12 games we will finish 2nd.

Edit; just in case sarcasm isn't detected, I still expect us to finish between 6th to 10th as I predicted preseason.

Funny how Devon Lads getting all mouthy again after a win, yet after a defeat like last week he always feels too ill to post.

I had a case of being too ill to post for about 2 months following on from 14th May 2017. Curious illness that affected around about 15,000 people..

That game is already on the radar of Mansfield fans, we’d take down a great following should it be needed, a promotion decider in a ground a quarter full would be odd but it is what it is.

As Camdenite said, if it's a down-to-the-wire, promotion dependent game then we'll have much more home support. Last game of the season in L1 in 2015 against Yeovil when we were promoted we had 16,000 in the home end. Would have been more but I expect most thought we would just be in the playoffs at the end of the day as it was so unlikely we would get that 2nd auto spot.

Mansfield would bring a massive support if it was all down to that game, so could see potentially 20,000+ on the day.

There are some that would call such support plastic or bandwagon!

Indeed! However it's no different to any other club. Hate to use AFC Wimbledon as an example, but they average around 3,500 home fans this season and rarely sell out their ground, yet took 20,000 to Wembley for their playoff final win. The casual fans come out the woodwork when there's something to play for.

Just to compare that with us, when we got to the FL Trophy final against Grimsby at Wembley in 2008, we sold 33,000 "MK Dons end" tickets compared to Grimsby selling 25,000 "Grimsby end" tickets. I expect its the same for most clubs though - you have your core average attendance, and then another 10k/20k/30k+ that will only come out for the one-off games.

Would be amazed if we take more than 200, being one our longest trips and on a Tuesday night. Yes we maybe without Law and Moxey which would be blows but this team keeps delivering. Just look at today and a man of the match performance from Matt Jay!

3 from 4 if Exeter don't beat Lincoln.

We'll do well to hang on to a play off place, very thin squad going to cost us.

Having had a quick scan at the remaining fixtures, I'd suggest we have the most difficult run-in with Bury with the easiest.

I'd prefer to win Tuesday than Saturday from a psychological point of view. Always good to take advantage of games in hand heading into another round of fixtures.

From what I recall Grimsby sold about 16-18,000 tickets. The remainder of the 56,000 at the game were in Club wembley “neutral” section. I certainly remember it was about half our sales.

We've got MK, Mansfield, FGR all away, Exeter home , Colchester home, Carlisle away and Tranmere home - 7 of the other top 8!

Plus Oldham and Newport who might be sniffing at the PO's by the time we play them.

I got a feeling we're finally going to get one over the Imps next week, not sure Cooper could cope with losing to the Cowleys yet again he really can't stand them lol.

We have..

Exeter (A)
Colchester (A)
Carlisle (H)
FGR (H)
Franchise (H)
Lincoln (A)
Bury (H)

Our other games are against mid table teams. We probably have the “hardest” run in if such a thing exists in an inconsistent league like this one.

Just laugh at them like Flitcroft does. They don’t know how to react

Not surprising that such a po faced tool can have a problem with them. I imagine he doesn't even like the fella he sees in the mirror.
I get that some don't like their ceaseless activity on the touchline, but Cooper does need to lighten up a little.

A point on Tuesday and I wouldn't rule us out. Especially if we start to get players back for the last ten games

Of the other games, we've still got Swindon (A), Newport (H), Oldham (H) and Grimsby (H) too who are all then in that cluster on the fringes.

Think we'll be very dependent on our home form.
