Not seen a sacking thread so I thought I'd stick one up.

Feel free to discuss how close your manager is to getting sacked and react when the inevitable axe comes down. Maybe it's a sign of how cut throat football management is now but I'm slightly surprised no one has got the boot yet despite it only being September.

Don't think anyone is particularly close at the moment, all the teams have had some ups and downs.

Think Cardiff would have sacked Trollope had they lost today.

Pearson and Stubbs will surely be close, can see Villa giving RDM some time.

Trollope has been given a vote of confidence, so expect him gone when Cardiff next lose 2 in a row

Derby haven't had many "ups", I'm sure Pearson will be gone before long if that carry on at this rate.

Yeah, gotta be Pearson. Though, logic would still suggest they will click sooner or later... just depends how late!

Gary Caldwell lost a lot of support on Friday night. I reckon Sharpey might swing the axe if we lose our next two. We should not be bottom of the table with our squad and he just looks out of his depth. The way I look at it is if he stays until May will we finish 21st or above? Personally I don't think we will under him. Just like Bristol City last season we're stuck in that rut of do we sack our title winning manager and lots still want to give him time based on last season. So it's a fan divide at the moment. Regarding other clubs, surely Pearson will be gone soon? Criminal to be where they are with that squad.

Can't argue either, if we fail to beat Cardiff on Tuesday he'll be gone IMO.

1 win in 10 is diabolical.

Grayson was probably close before this week but I reckon he's safe now.

Even before this week I don't think sacking him had even entered the club's mind.

I imagine if we'd been dicked at Bournemouth and lost on Friday it would have been discussed.

Cant see Alan Stubbs being here much longer if we dont improve, wouldn't surprise me if he gets the sack tomorrow morning.

When you look at sacking a manager you've got to think of potential replacements. If Stubbs get sacked, who would want to take the Rotherham job that would fare better? Same with my lot. We won't sack Coyle after the back to back league wins, but who in their right mind would want to take over?

I think Pearson has Tuesday and Saturday. No win before the international break, and he'll be packing his bags.

There is literally nothing positive to say about us this season.

Pearson is getting critical, with the talent Derby have it's pretty embarrassing where they are. Other than that can't see any immediate danger to anyone else, maybe Stubbs but can Rotherham attract much better?

It'd have to be McClaren or Jackett for a team like Rotherham surely? Or (whisper it quietly) maybe a triumphant return for a certain Mr Evans?

I don't think what Rotherham currently have to offer would attract that type of manager, maybe Evans yeah but think that would be a backward step for them now.

Someone take Evans to ensure he doesn't come back here if Monk starts losing again.

Pearson has taken a team that has averaged 80 points and 70+ goals a season over the past three campaigns and put them in the bottom three.

We could have hired a drunk monkey and we would still be exponentially better off.

I just don't get how he's managed to make such a mess in such a short period of time.

Pearson will obviously be favourite at the minute. Rotherham fans have by and large turned on Stubbs already and their next 3 games are Huddersfield, Newcastle and Norwich so I don't expect he'll be too far off.

Reports that Di Matteo's gone if he doesn't get a win in the next 2 games.

I think it's ridiculous personally, and a sign that Villa's ownership and management still don't appreciate the position they're in, and the rebuilding job that needs to be done. But I suppose they've probably got enough money that they could get away with just throwing shit and waiting for something to stick

Throwing money around in this league doesn't guarantee instant success.

Just ask Derby fans...

Pearson has been suspended by Derby and is expected to be sacked.

Why not just sack him straight away?

Fuck sake, means we'll get a hammering now tonight. On the plus side that could mean Trollope goes!
