Who will be first to get the chop this season. It's become the time when owners have splashed out and will get itchy feet with a bad start.

I haven't a clue in this league, but any early predictions

Not Fergie we don't do sacking easily. Dicksplash managed a season and 11 games more than he would elsewhere and I doubt many Clubs would have given Fergie last season given how he managed to get us relegated the year before.

Justin Edinburgh or Lee Clark. Too close to call.

We have a penchant for getting opposition managers sacked. When one is under pressure, in a bad run of results and often been given a "vote of confidence", it is odds on that he'll be sacked if there is a loss to Scunny. The defeat opens the gate for the opposition's Chairman to get rid of his manager. Losing to Scunthorpe, FFS! All manager's beware of "The Last Straw Scunthorpe".

If it's Fergie it'll have to be done before end of the October.

We never sack managers after this month even if it inevitably leads to relegation

McCall, something dodgy going on between him and the chairman. Would imagine if we lose a few in a row there would be serious questions, which is a bit ridiculous really.

The sooner the better.

Fans can't stand him as a manager, he has fallen out with every single senior member of the playing staff and more importantly, the board have basically admitted he is naive in the press and a 3 year deal was 'right at the time' - as if to say not now.

He will be out very soon, unless we have a drastic turnaround in fortunes - which is impossible, as we have nothing going forwards and the board are obviously reluctant to hand him the funds to bring players in.

Cast iron sacked within the 1st 10 games and we will be about 10 points adrift at that point.

I'll go with the majority and say Whitney will probably be the first to go. Beyond that, Graham Alexander will be gone within a few months I reckon. Ditto for Pennock. If Clark survives the season I'll be surprised as well.

Beating Plymouth has not convinced me McCann is the way forward. Bizarre tactical decisions and too negative. MacAnthony loves a sacking aswell.

Not because I am desperate to see him go but the fact performances were dire last season and with our investment recently if Edinburgh gets off to an awful start could see something happening there.

Yeah. Whitney, Edinburgh and Warne would be the three I'd be looking at.

I think it will be quite quickly actually, there's a lot of unrest which doesn't normally happen with us as a club. O'Driscoll had a couple of really awful performances and he was out the door in 3 games. It's 1 win in 12 now, we don't look like scoring and have signed players to fit a system that we now aren't playing.

If we take a hammering, or don't win a game in the first 5 - I dare say he would be the 1st casualty anywhere in the football league.

If JED gets the boot, it will be of his own making because of the funds that he has been provided and his tendency at the moment to play his favourites instead of those who should be.

Seems to have had a shorter honeymoon period than we gave him.

Sounds familiar...

We had the biggest budget in our history last season according to our chairman, not enough cash for JED to build anything resembling a defence though.

Gone the other way with us it seems, no complaints regarding our defence recruitment which looks pretty solid, or our midfield for that matter, just a lack of anyone in the final third who looks like they will consistently put the ball in the back of the net!

Sheridan is a possibility with all going on behind the scenes. We don't know exactly what is happening but wouldn't be surprised to see Sheridan walk or get pushed soon

It's not what the fans want but nothing would surprise me with corney

Thank you Beijing, Edinburgh no longer associated with Northampton!

He was a disaster, won 2 games for us I think, hadnt won in 14! No idea who we will go for now but the good news is as our game at the weekend has been postponed so that gives us time to get our man.
