Maxi Gradel is going on a season long loan to Toulouse, unlikely to return. It's not quite worked out for him here since his ACL injury, he hasn't been getting the game time he wants. Sigurdsson is quality. Not the sort of player who's level is going to drop off dramatically as he gets older either, as he's not overly reliant on physical attributes. Worth noting Pochettino has regrets about letting him leave Spurs as well.

Inflated price right there. Not saying its overpriced though, just that while De Vrij had still not signed a new contract a couple of clubs enquired on Hoedt, including ourselves, and the figure was supposedly around the 7.8mill mark. De Vrij still hasn't signed a new deal as far as I'm aware so they may not let Hoedt go, or it may be the reason they want 15mill.
15mill should easily get him otherwise.

I might be being naive, but I think the power is with us for once on this one. Still got five years on his contract (ha) and can't afford to not put in a decent shift in a World Cup year. Next summer will probably be different.

We're in the same boat with Coutinho; will probably still head off though. I'm with you though that if both players stay at their current clubs, then they can't afford not to knuckle down as they will want to be in those World Cup squads, particularly Coutinho as I personally make Brazil favourites next year, and he wouldn't want to miss out on a real shot at winning it.
