How are Dortmund going to afford him?

They are minted pal. Big talk around Dortmund that they are finally letting going of the purse strings and upping their playing budget by 33% to go after a Pep-less Bayern next year.

Isn't the German transfer record about £35m? They'd have to beat that handily.

So he'd play up top instead of Aubemyang, so changing from a quick and clinical counter attacking unit to something more bold?

I'd say it's his agent talking smack to gain leverage on a deal.

You just worry about whoever you support and let Dortmund worry about Dortmund.

If we all did that this place wouldn't exist.

It's fair to question their negotiating power when they're in unfamiliar territory and are dealing with a team of substantial wealth.

Lukaku will be whatsapping his agent(s) non-stop as we speak, if Dortmund come calling you don't stay at Everton mate. Dortmund have all the power on this one IMO.

When did Dortmund become such a big draw? They're not exactly a "hold the front page" kind of side. They sell and lose players to a score of bigger and wealthier clubs.

Dortmund are exactly what any respectable football club should aspire to be.

Amended for you mate.

I don't disagree with that, just the notion they're this big draw that you're making out.

They also get told to sit by Bayern when Lewondowski went to Munich for nothing.

Erm no, it was the exact opposite actually. They could have sold him to Bayern with 12 months left on his contract but they didn't need the money so kept him instead. Pretty stupid by Klopp IMO, but there you go.

unfortunately liverpool transfer rumours caused the forum to go over its bandwidth limit by approximately 3000% and the higher ups had to bury the thread

There's a shitload of rumours for West Ham at the minute, one of which is for Icardi who Arsene is also supposedly interested in.
Sullivan openly said they put in a £24mill offer for a player in England and a £25mill bid for a ligue 1 striker. The striker is believed to be Batshuayi who they made an offer for in January. Haven't seen anything on who the player in England is. Is Walcott worth that to anyone?

I think he'd be a good fit for West Ham, they need someone that can make runs in behind for their technical players to feed. They've got plenty of battering ram players so this makes sense. Fee is daft.

I can see some kind of sense in that sort of bid. He's got a clean image, an England international (BRAND points), he's an undoubtedly handy when given a run of games, and The New TV Money coming in will send transfer fees higher even than they are already (I remember people being amazed at Ulloa costing £8m in 2014... that sort of deal seems like pretty small fry, even just two years later).

Walcott's absolutely fucking toss if he's not playing regularly though, as it seems to take him aeons to find his rhythm. I think he's got to be one of the first casualties of this season for us, because when we needed him he just didn't deliver.

Christ, 24mil for WALCOTT.

I think I would be more disgusted with that one than when Citeh were linked with Kaka at 105mil about 5 years ago.

Lol forgot all about that, when he rejected them one of the idiots there called him a bottler. Five years later the club and fans still have no class about them with the way they both treated Sparky and Pellegrini.

Read this morning about Spurs being in for Lallana over the summer for £20m. I laughed.

Surely Liverpool would take that if it's true?

I doubt it. We paid £5m more if reports are true and, under Klopp, he's finally showing the quality for which we bought him for in the first place. He's arguably been our best player in the last 2-3 months.

I'd be very surprised if Klopp wanted rid and that would be the only reason he'd be sold to Spurs.

West Ham linked with Max Gradel for £10m. Loadsa money them haven't they.

Bizarrely Aberdeen are interested in signing Jayden Stockley, who has spent most of his career out on loan in League Two and Conference. Is the Jocks' league really so bad that one of it's foremost clubs wants someone of Stockley's level?

Artur Boruc will sign on for one more year it seems. Probably well deserved over all.

And we've been linked with a host of central midfielders from the Championship, and Ryan Mason from Spurs.
