We're linked with Ogmundur Kristinsson, Icelandic goal keeper who plays for a Scandinavian side. Apparently he's shit, that's probably true because (with the exception of Tom Heaton) we don't do signing good goal keepers.

Warnock supposedly wants Greg Cunningham again as Joe Bennett's replacement if he goes to Fulham.

Good luck with that, we'll be asking for a lot more than whatever Bennett's release clause is.

Rumours surrounding Hugill and Robinson have gone quite after rejecting bids from Birmingham & Derby.

Cardiff are interested in Omar Bogle apparently, we're in for a striker on loan too apparently...
Seen that last night, our fans shitting themselves thinking he's a potential replacement for Zohore, and not because we only have 2 recognised strikers fit..
We also turned down £10 million from Hull for Zohore yesterday.

Rumours are that if Bennett leaves us for Fulham we'll be looking at trying to nab Greg Cunningham from PNE, would cost a fair bit mind.

Rumoured his clause is £2 million. Word is though that Bennett has spoken to Fulham but wasn't at all impressed with their offer.

I'd want double that for Cunningham, best left back we've had in my lifetime, just made captain and contracted till 2019.

Ideally Bennett just turns down Fulham and we can avoid any messing about.

We want Hanson from Sheff United, any chance we can have Leon Clarke instead?

I know left backs aren't the most fashionable players, and don't command the mental fees of attacking players but, I think we'd be fucking insane to even contemplate letting Cunningham go for anything less than about £8M.

If he was called Grèĝõa Çuñninĝaôham, came from Vitória de Setúbal and Wolves were linked with a £30M move, you'd be struggling to keep your shrivelled pecker in your skinny jeans.

No mate, just think you're massively overrating your players. What has he done to prove that he is worth 8m, helped Preston to a couple of mid tables finishes? Leeds just paid 4m for Jansson, one of the best defenders in the division. How do you manage to rate Greg Cunningham, who really nobody outside of your corner of Lancashire has really heard of for double that of Jansson?

Think you need to stop sipping at the shandy and cool off playing football manager.

I read above 2m has been rejected.. 8m? Behave

Think his value is around £4-5m, quality player. However then factor in PNE circumstances and level of willingness to sell etc.

Nobody outside our corner of Lancashire has heard of him? He's attracting interest from a number of clubs and has just been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad.

And in any case, he's a LB, not a striker knocking in goals every other week; so he's bound to go under the radar somewhat.

He's as good at his job, as a top goalscorer is at his. But as I say, LB isn't a fashionable position, so they tend not to command the crazy money that strikers do.

Not assed if he was part of a team that finished 11th - there are countless examples of players moving for big money, having finished the season in a team that finish outside the top 6. - Jacob Murphy is a recent example.

Bottom line is, he's one of the best LB's in the league and I can't see the club entertaining any offers below £6m considering we flat out rejected Cardiffs £2m offer immediately.

Fair enough, £8m was probably a bit OTT but, I'd be royally fucked off if he went for say less than £5-6M

In fairness we had the £3.5-4m or whatever it was price agreed before Jansson even played a game for us. We could have sold him a day after his permanent contract began here for more than double that, I'm sure.

In general though, I'm sure there are other players from abroad capable of proving to be bargains...it's just a bit of a risk. Saiz looks like he'll do well in this league...Alioski's been a bit quiet the last couple of games etc. so the price factors in the safety net of being an experienced player at the level. Tbh I think a combination of the two approaches works best...

Make no mistake Greg Cunningham is a talent and it's a shame that he not playing at the top level where he belongs.

Unfortunately Bristol City fucked him over and he is by far 1 of the best players in the championship

£2m is pretty insulting.

I'd sell Hugill & Robinson before I would Cunningham.

I don't think anyone will make us budge on any of them though unless someone like Redknapp gives us something mental on a panicky deadline day.

We've completed the signing of centre back Federico Venancio from Vitoria, only a loan deal for now but I expect it will have the option to be made permenant next summer to get around FFP, good business for us this think he might be a gem. Would like to see us use the loan market now and bring in some genuine pace out wide to add to the side, while moving on a bit of the deadweight like Mcgugan, and since Joao and Matias don't seem to be getting a look in they might as well go and bring in some extra funds.

He should be a quality signing (and hopefully means you're backing off Dean!), he's been called up to the Portugal squad a couple of times without getting a cap? Still very good pedigree for this level. And young too.

You could make a pretty decent Portuguese squad from players in the Championship.

Goalkeeper
Miranda - Venancio - Illori - Vinagre
Neves
Costa - Cavaliero - Jota
Oliveira

Sadly I can't think of a goalkeeper.

Probably not going to feature much this season under TC. I like him as an option to bring off the bench but he can be hit and miss. This could be largely because he was often played quite wide last season and he's definitely better more centrally up front. Capable of a worldly (Forest at home last year) but also capable of going missing for 2 or 3 games on the spin.
