This thread is making for depressing reading , a not so nice reminder of the state that the club is in.

I’m still on a high so avoiding this thread for another week or so I think.
If it's any consolation to you I listed to the NTT20 podcast earlier as they went to all three PO games and they said out of the six fanbases yours was by far the best.

Yeah, was impressive to be fair. Wembley limbs are the best limbs.

Our young goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke, who has been attracting interesting from PSG and Man Utd, has signed a four year professional deal with the club at the age of 16.

Looks like he has the makings of a future England keeper.

Is that shocking? Never really considered them a force since Curbishley left. There was a time not too long ago when Wednesday were signing our cast offs.

Definitely not, we’ve regressed horrifically in the last ten (five) years. We’re some way behind most clubs in this division at the moment.

Fulham sniffing around O’Dowda. Sessegnon to O’Dowda would be a bit of a shock for their fans.

That’s why I wanted you lot up over Sunderland. It’s dog eat dog and the state Roland has you in, I’d back us to finish above you next season.

If that isn’t the most Reading name imaginable then I don’t know what is.

Yep, we’re an unknown quantity at the moment.

We don’t know who any of our owner, manager or players will be. Ridiculous.

Donald wanted to flip Sunderland as well which could have made them dangerous, now they have to go up next season or be in danger.

I like you as a poster pal so for you I hope it comes out OK but I despise Bowyer, always found him to be an utter c***, not content with one arrest for being a bit of a bigot.....

Completely get that, he’s never going to be popular because of his past. He wasn’t particularly liked by us before coming back but cannot help but love him now for what he’s done to our club and the players have nothing but good things to say about him.

Any North End fans heard anything about Ben Pearson leaving this summer?

We’ve made a bid apparently. Can’t see it myself!

There'd be uproar if we sold him for anything less than about £15m.

Can't see you lot paying that for him? Not that you haven't got the money like.

Ha, you wouldn't match our asking price, add £5m to any clubs in the same league who want him.

Heard nothing this end.

We've supposedly bid for Kemar Roofe as well if you read it where I did, Callum O'Dowda plus £3M but that's probably bollocks as well. Oh yeah, we've put our annual bid in for Lys Mousset apparently too. Oh yeah, I mustn't forget, Albert Adomah is coming back too.
We've got some seriously attention seeking fans GG. I would suggest precisely NONE of those rumours are true mate.

Albert Adomah been released, been a good signing for any club in this league.

Ben Pearson would be a good signing but you have to cater in how many games he'll miss during the season due to suspension.

Some supposedly 'in the know' belter posted it on OTIB JJH. That's where I saw it.

Jordan Smith being touted as a replacement for Davies, I’d take that.

Is it a credible poster mate? I know Johnson said Pearson/Bannan would be the two players he’d sign if he had the pick of the division but I can’t see us spunking daft money on a midfielder that has serious discipline issues as good as he may be.

Ryan Woods would be the player I’d have top of the recruitment list if the rumours are true about him being available for transfer for what it’s worth.

Only thing keeping him from a Prem move.

By all accounts, the poster (Knighty) has got a fair few right previously but I take all these sort of comments as tongue in cheek, especially at this time of year. Strangely, he said it came from a contact at North end rather than BS3.
I genuinely have no idea TBH. Hell of a player though.

Some Stoke City fans on social media are convinced that James Justin was at their ground earlier this week. Bit difficult being there and also in Mexico?

Anyway, probably at least 5 teams interested... keep the bids coming in.

JJH was arguing with me earlier, he reckons, in his words, that they would "quite comfortably" get Pearson for £10m and the initial fee would be less than that.

Have a word.

Oh he also thinks I made up that we turned down a bid of around £12m from Stoke last summer.

I don't think we'd pay it but if we or some other club bid 10m you would accept it imo.

As said, if you can prove that you turned 12m down from Stoke then fair enough. I searched "Ben Pearson Stoke 12m" on Twitter and two tweets come up from some random fan pages, and searched the same on google and found the square root of fuck all on it.
